Welp, it finally happened. I paid my rent. And now I have no savings left.

Employment still eludes on account of the defective bones and the AIpocalypse. Unemployment ran out months ago. I have no income beyond Ko-fi and the book or two I sell every month. Can't even get food stamps because of the hell world.

So if you want to help keep me from being homeless by next month, shoot me a donation, buy one or all of those books and games from the Ko-fi shop or my DTRPG page.

Anyway, when I was a kid, I played Ocarina of Time, and accidentally named Link "Sock" because I missed that was supposed to be a character name and not just a file name. It was pretty funny, so I name most characters Sock when I can. However, this damn game wanted a full first and last name. I wanted a dumb name like in that MST3K Space Mutiny episode, and somehow ended up with the name Starch Breadtag. I dunno. I hate those damn things.

We’re now getting I direct comparison between twitter and bluesky.

With a 5th of the total follower count you’re above to get a higher engagement.

This is because a significant percentage of your followers on Twitter either no longer exist or they’re bots giving you the illusion of a higher fan base.

Couple that with twitter’s algorithm showing people promoted accounts over the accounts they follow means the real people that would engage with your content just aren’t seeing your posts.

I’m loosing track of who I have followed on bluesky now so once I’ve confirmed that I follow them I’m going to unfollow them from twitter. This will mean I’m more likely to see the accounts I wouldn’t normally see.
