Rhett: he had a lot of ties. I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen him wear the same tie more than once. It’s gotta be a wealth sort of thing Rhett: mock me all you want you two but I love socks. Trust me not being able to walk for over a year made me appreciate how nice the small things are especially comfortable socks Rhett: I’m on for both of those two. Maverick frowns with a wince. "That doesn't sound like a fun way to live, but alright. You do you." He's definitely on the opposite end of whatever spectrum that is, enjoying things more often than not, or trying to spin it more positively.

"What's the weirdest tattoo you have?" Carter was curious, especially since he knew people who get absolutely any insane tattoo they can think of when they say they litrally get anything.
"Oh no, no, don't be sorry!" Gwen starts off as she looks between Carter and the flowers in his hands. "I truly meant every word when I said my door is always open. Now come on in and let's get some water for those beautiful flowers. I love them and they'd fit perfectly on my kitchen table." She opens the door then, making her way through the new living room and kitchen now that things were finally put together and unpacked. Thankfully she keeps the vases closer to her reach so one is easy to grab to fill with water.
"How did it go today?" Gwen asks. It feels easier to talk about Cynthia to Carter than anyone else in the family even if it's just simple questions like how things are going. She's doesn't want to overbear in any way, but more so give a gentle reminder she's there for anyone to talk. "She's doing great-- in high spirits." Carter shrugged his shoulders as he stepped inside of Gwen's home. "I think she may be a bit frustrated she can't take care of her own garden though, especially because she's having to rely on me to take care of it, and I hardly know what I'm doing." Carter could kill a cactus.
"She'd love that. She keeps all of her drawings in a drawer next to her bed. I've caught her looking over them a few times." It meant a lot to Cynthia that people were so caring, and she was happy that Rhett had found someone as good as Gwen.

"So not true." Syrena said as she rolled her eyes at him. She knew she was her mother's princess, though there may be a small part of her that was worried that maybe Carter was right. She would never admit it to him, it was obvious her brother and their mother had gotten even closer considering he lived with her. And she had been actively avoiding their family home.
But she would never back down from a competition. "You have any ideas to up the ante?" She asked curious if he had anything up his sleeves. "I mean, we can totally just leave it at who mom loves more. Which is me."
"Are you scared, Syrena? That's what it sounds like to me." A mischievous grin pulled onto his lips. "I was thinking money. Or.. I don't know, a dare? Like if I win you have to dye your hair orange."

Rhett: in my defense I didn’t bring up weddings first there was just the sentiment that weddings and work happening at the same time were not allowed. I was just reiterating that wasn’t true. It wasn’t in any way a slight against anyone’s marital status Rhett: I know you are Syrena, you’ve been really helpful Rhett: Considering I’m the oldest being called old is wild though Rhett:to be fair I already have a ring for Gwen for when that sort of thing happens, so this doesn’t leave the chat Rhett: I’ll visit the bakery. Liza helped me figure out how to make a cake from scratch last time I visited. Rhett: I think something like acts of service is good idea. ☕ — A small everyday detail about them
I don't know if this really answers it, but part of my daily routine is to make sure I spend time with my cat, Artemis, first thing in the morning. I feed her, make sure she has some treats, and then I play with her a bit before I have to leave for work. She isn't totally alone after I leave, though. She a great nurse and spends a lot of time with my mom.
