Sometimes I feel like Bucky Barnes becauae yes, they could take my memories. They can take my mind. They can take my brain if they want but the feeling of your hand against mine is something no force in any universe could ever take from me.

I have a Bridge To Terabithia headcannon that after Leslies death, Jesse would get these horrible nightmares about following her out there and watching the rope snap. It'd be like they normally did but it would be what he thought it might of looked like when it happened. Of course he wasnt there so he'd wake up in a cold sweat and for a moment forget Leslie was dead and (when he got older) forget he wasnt a little kid anymore. He didnt live next to the woods anymore. So he'd wake up and in that half asleep state, start calling out for her and wondering where she went. The main part of the hc I keep thinking about is when or if he ever got married, he'd wake up in the middle of the night breathing heavy still looking for Leslie. His wife would hear him calling out for a girl he didnt even know for a year and not to mention if he had for some reason tried to keep a secret. She'd be wondering shy hes calling for a random girl. Oh and dont get me started on the kids. Them hearing their daddy in the middle of the night calling for a girl whose not their mommy.
