Shooting a glare in her direction, she barked out a laugh.

“That impression you do of me is gettin’ pretty good. Seeing as you would never be snarky to me.”

“Carol, I’m hardly in the mood to play.”

“Too bad,” she pulled crinkling plastic from under her shirt “, considering I had these as a prize.”

You tried to pull the blanket more securely around you. It did little to help, being so thin and feeble, and you continued to shiver. The light was so harsh and you squeezed your eyes tighter, wanting to block it all out. You buried your head in the pillow. An arm wrapped around your waist and you smiled into the pillow.
