Today is a RED PANTS kind of day! I jumped out of bed hearing the song “Glorious” in my head and I knew it was going to be an awesome day! I was running a little late so I thought “it’s OK, if I’m late, my client will be late too”, as I know this is generally the case when I put out ‘the vibe’. So I looked st my phone and as I was watching, a message came through from my client...’sorry, I’m running late’. I chuckled to myself and showed my husband who is always amused how often this kind of thing happens. I got to work in time for a coffee first, and she was 15 minutes late, but said for some reason she didn’t feel stressed about it. I told her that she must have gotten my mental message. Then I checked my calendar and it seemed that when I booked her appointment I had actually allowed an extra half hour for her, even though she booked in a week ago. I just love how the Universe is always eavesdropping on our intentions and is always conspiring for our highest good! DOES SKYPE HYPNOSIS WORK? Over the last few years we’ve seen a lot of change as to how therapists deliver Counselling, Coaching and Hypnotherapy. Traditionally clients come into the office, have their session, go back to work then go home. But now thanks to advances in technology Skype sessions and sessions over other video platforms have become incredibly popular. We call it Skype Hypnosis but in reality this can mean using Messenger Video, Zoom, FaceTime or Skype, and simply refers to doing Hypnotherapy over the Internet, so the client can stay in the safety of their own home while receiving therapy, and not having to even get out of their PJs if they don’t want to! We can do things like Age Regression, Time Line Therapy, NLP, Direct Suggestion, Gestalt Therapy, Rewind Technique and any other therapeutic techniques we need to do in hypnosis, as long as they are in trance, a state similar to daydreaming, that we are in and out of every day. It is the same over distance as we would do if my clients were sitting in the chair in my office. Their eyes are closed and all they have to do is listen to my voice. This is the beauty of our modern technology, the internet and screens that bring our clients right into our office and take us into their space. It means that I can be doing Hypnosis for anyone across town or across the planet, without them having to leave the safety and security of their home, and we get great results! I have Skypnosis clients in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, the US and Canada, as well as Islands across the Pacific, and I fact I’ve once hypnotised a client at Sydney Airport over the phone when she rang in a panic with fear of flying, and was about to jump on a plane to Rome. How wonderful it is to know we can do this with modern technology! There are over 2 million internet users on the planet. With people travelling with work and leisure, and our mobile workforce means that we are no longer limited to just having to see a local Hypnotherapist in our town, but instead can have access to help from anywhere in the world. 😳 Spiritual Teacher by day, Grandma by night! 🎂 After teaching a Reiki workshop all day and setting up for another one tomorrow I arrived home around 8.30pm, did some more preparation then got to work on my grandson Paeton’s birthday cake. I ran out of icing and didn’t know what I could use to hold the candles up as he didn’t want them stuck on the cake. Luckily I had this idea I might use Liquorice to do the black lines on the face if I couldn’t find black icing when I when shopping tonight for supplies. I found the icing but kept the liquorice in case, and that’s what I used to make the candle holders and write his name. Got to drop it off in the morning as I can’t get to the party, since I have a workshop, but hope Paety likes ‘Sans’, one of his favourite characters. Can’t wait till he cuts into it! It’s so easy to procrastinate and distract with keeping busy, using substances or sitting on our phones and TVs. So many people read all the self-help books, do all the courses, study everything about a problem, yet never seem to take action. Pretty soon it’s 10 years later and they are still in the same place, with the same friends, doing the same numbing things to get by from one day to the next, and they wonder why. Procrastination steals time, energy, money, futures and even life itself! We can blame others but that’s still not going to get us where we want to be! Thinking and talking about it is not the same as doing it. Until we have had enough pain, we often won’t take the steps to make things different. When we take responsibility for everything in our lives it gives us the freedom to do things differently. The first step is deciding to help yourself. Then the journey begins. One foot in front of the other. Ask for help if you need it. Get your shit sorted. Then nothing will stop you from achieving your dreams. There are no short cuts. You have to do the work. What are you reading? I always have heaps of books and audiobooks on the go at one time. Perhaps I have ADHD, but it’s working for me, lol. My mind is filled with so many different interests, ideas and layers and I want to know more about everything! Knowledge Is power as they say, and I am thirsty for what lies between the pages of these magical gifts, birthed from the minds of others who are also searching for their own truth. Psychology, Energy Medicine, Magic and Healing, Sacred Oils, Astrology, the Mind-Body Connection, Spirituality, Herbs and Stories that change lives. These are only some of the things that awaken my Soul, and give me a thirst for understanding. My thirst Is quenched momentarily by what lies between the pages of my books, which help me transcend the everyday limits of our human existence.
