The Rite of Spring || Carla & Nako
How on earth do I find myself in these situations?
The bake sale seemed like such a good idea when the club proposed it; after all, it was a chance to lend a hand to the less fortunate of Brieve and get them a good rep, get people to join, but now they needed to rush in order to get most of their stock sold by the end of the day. They'd somehow goaded her into bugging that one scary Psychology teacher in the process, too, and no she wasn't sure if it had been wise to agree to it after all.
Why did it have to be him of all people? It was bad enough that talking to the other teachers, who were all reasonably nice and approachable, made her nervous, but Tsukinami was his own league of scary. His scarf tended to hide most of his face, so you never really knew what he was thinking. They've never really interacted- that was mostly because she avoided him like the plague. Most of their 'interactions' have only been hurried, perfunctory passing of projects and homework, or automatic, polite greetings done with the rest of the class at the start and end of lectures. She hasn't even worked up the nerve to greet him when she passes by him in hallways.
Still, she would hate to disappoint her club mates, especially since she was actually growing closer to some of them. So the swimmer steeled her resolve and approached him in his room, even if the very prospect of actually talking to him frightened her. It seemed like he was grading papers when he let her in. Her hands were shaking, making the pastries on her tray shuffle ever so slightly.
"Um..g-good...morning...I mean, good afternoon, sir..."
