I just watched a documentary where I learnt someone from the Vatican once went to Giolitti, Rome’s oldest ice cream parlor, because he wanted to gift pope John Paul II something sweet and the Pope was fond of marrons glacés (candied chestnuts), so the owner made marrons glacés savored ice cream, and the Pope loved it so much he had it served at Castel Gandolfo, his summer residence, and I’m obsessed with the idea of Lawrence being awkward in an ice cream parlor or a sweet shop while trying to find a gift for Vincent. When teased by Aldo, he says it's only because he wants His Holiness to experience a real italian gelato, but his friend isn't fooled.

Father I think a bad habit of Vincent is that he loves to sometimes play hooky. He says he has a meeting with someone no one likes and go to the movies.
