I mean, this could go one of two ways, either they ignore me the entire time to make eyes at each other (whether hate or lust depends on when in the movie we're going) or the plane is going down and Bond is going to have to rescue it.

Wasn't tagged, not planning on tagging anyone, but... Chrono Trigger's Flea the Magician (known in Japan as Mayonne). Probably the first outright trans character I ever came across, even if Flea doesn't use the term.

The conversation preceeding this screenshot starts with Frog introducing Flea as "no ordinary woman" to which Flea snaps "hey, I'm a man!"

However, Flea also happens to be one of the villains, a miniboss during a very climactic arc of the story.

Sayaka, just staring back at her: "... What-"

Homura: "You heard me. It's distasteful."

Sayaka: "... what?"

Homura looked at the body that was once a girl, was once a friend, was once an ally, was once.

Once again, there were words left unspoken. Words she... couldn't remember anymore. Words someone else who was once Homura Akemi had said, had meant, had.

"How rude,"

More words lost to time. More feelings put into the glass bottle, sent out into the ocean to be devoured and never seen again.

It was an empty, grey and lonely place now, after all.

And still, she stayed a while. Maybe until the others, Kyouko and whoever was alive this time around, found them.

The waters fell silent and still.

Empty and meaningless reflections layered over the pavement.

Like, Oriko and Homura are a little fucked up, mentally unwell individuals who strive for their goal disregarding their mental wellness

While Kirika and Madoka are the...purer(?Idk the word doesn't feel right but it's best I have right now) in their wants and actions, don't overthink as much, while they're complex individuals, they're also more adjusted, more normal?

I can see Kirika and Madoka being normal having tea or something while on the side, Oriko and Homura are barely containing a breakdown because they (in their own eyes) fucked something up not that long ago and what if they get kicked out? What if their girlfriends break up with them?

Have you ever thought about a Walpurgisnacht who is aware of timeloops and just decides to visit the same space for all eternity because it's the only place that can seemingly contain her destructive power that isn't rendered asunder by her mere presence

Have you ever thought about Walpurgisnacht seeing the same girls die, witchify, fight against and with her over and over again? Absorbing some of them into her hoard of party guests, them telling her stories, all the juicy little details about a certain girl changing her actions every time? Watching their mutual focus with baited breath, a pink haired girl with the witch of salvation, Walpurgisnacht's destined equal and opposite, looking into eachother's eyes as the world breaks around them- watching the pink haired girl get stronger, stronger and stronger with the raven getting more and more cold, deadly and fun~

She doesn't want this party to end, she doesn't want Homura to stop shooting her with Missiles the moment she appears, she doesn't want to stop fighting these girls whom she has tasted every emotion of, all of their witch forms, all of their hope and anger

Always directed at her like it was meant to last forever

She doesn't want Homura to become a witch, only at the very end when everything is truly lost does she want to invite her to join the party, invite her to share all of her perspective, everything the queen of witches ever missed.

And then one day, it's all over

The pink one ascends

She remembers everything

Nemona remembers everything, remembers her feelings, remembers the nightmare of being such a monster, for being a cruel Apocalypse, a grim reaper of magical girl hopes and dreams.

She remembers how much she's grown to love those five girls who became everything to her, the single greatest routine an immortal being of destruction and death could hope for

Crushes that can't die

And now, the being that she once looked down on, that soon she watched grow into her opposite in despair, she looks up and sees holy, timeless beauty offering her mercy

She cries and she knows she doesn't deserve to cry

The goddess still lets her

She apologizes even though nothing could ever make up for what she did

The goddess still listens

Homura will never let her, will never forgive her

But on some level, Nemona hopes the girl won't
