“Theodore. Teddy. Hi.” Carol had met Mar-vell’s son a couple times before, but it was always a little strange. Her old friend was gone, passing on his mantle to her. Twice. She didn’t know what to think of his son. “What can I do for you?”

He knew what a bitter son would say, but Gerry wasn’t like that. His mom was a wildly successful galaxy saver and- he was an adult now. So what if she had been gone for a few months? “-AND they made me a TA. Can you believe?”

It had been years since Carol had seen Rogue, and longer since the incident on the bridge, but she’d never forgiven the other woman for what she’d done. If not for Professor Xavier and Jess Drew, she wouldn’t have ever known who she was if she had, by some miracle, survived. Even now, seeing the other woman put her on edge.
