Daughter of James Hook & Alexia Bonacieux || 23 || Aquarius; Feb 13 

Anita grew up with her mother Alexia in Cannes, France. A far as she was concerned her father was a deadbeat who never wanted to help take care of her while her mom had to work two jobs in order to afford a life where Anita didn’t really want for anything. It was hard, and Anita had to raise herself a little as she got older, but she wouldn’t trade it for anything. Because of that, she had a very close relationship with her mother. As she got older, though Anita started having questions about her father and harbored a strong resentment toward him. After months of pestering her mother for information, Alexia finally gave in and told her all about her father the sailor and how they’d only spent a month together and been mildly irresponsible and that was how Anita came around. She hadn’t been planned, but boy was she loved and cared for. Upon learning that her father hadn’t been a deadbeat after all, and he just never knew about her, Anita set out to find him. 

She made her way to Santa Monica where she knew her father visited often and enrolled herself in some classes to cover for the real reason she was in town. She didn’t know who knew her father, and she wanted to find as much information as she could before she found a way to confront him and introduce herself. Anita struggles with a lot of the same things as James did, needing to keep moving and feeling restless after being in one place for too long, but she’s trying not to let that bother her as she tries to complete this mission. She still keeps in touch with her mother, and Alexia misses her daughter a lot, but she isn’t the type to stop her daughter from chasing her dreams.

Rosalie Jae Federico-Farrow (friend)

As soon as Anita realised Rosalie was the child of Caroline Farrow, someone her father was known to keep in touch with, she did her best to become her friend in the hopes that she’d be visited by her father on one of his trips back to Santa Monica. As time passed, though, Anita found herself actually wanting to be the girl’s friend. Rosalie’s temper keeps Anita on her toes and greatly entertains her more wild nature.

James Hook || Welcome to the future - 2023 

Eventually, Hook got restless as he knew he would. He wasn’t the type of person to stay settled down anywhere for very long, and Santa Monica was no different. As much as he cared for the friends he made there, Hook craved the ocean breeze on his face every morning and the red colors as the sun set over the horizon. He missed being able to look up at the stars without the pollution of city lights. So he took to the seas once again, living his best modern pirate life. He managed to save up while he was in Santa Monica and buy a bigger boat, a better one than the one he wanted before he bought the Venture, and he takes pictures of every exciting thing he sees and sends them all to his friends when he’s around wifi (which isn’t very often). 

“It’s just a nickname!” She giggled a little shaking her head. “It stuck around for sober me to get attached to it. Besides, you call me clumsy. If you get a nickname, I get a nickname for you too. Those are… nickname rules.” Scrunching her nose she giggled a bit before she sat down her colored pencils to give him her attention. “Yeah.. I go on a lot of hikes and just unwind in the forrest. So, I sketch what I see then come back to paint them out.” As she looked over at the box her eyes went a little wide. Caroline wasn’t all that used to random gifts. “Hm? What.. you didn’t have to get me..” She took the small box from him and opened it with curiosity. Though upon seeing the necklace she gasped. “Honk!” She shouted. Laughing she let her head fall back. “This is the worst, but also - thank you.” Shaking her head she looked at him. Pulling her hair to the side. “Might as well help me put it on.” 

“Nickname rules?” he asked with a laugh, “I didn’t realise there was such a thing. Look at all the things I’m learning from you.” Hook nodded in genuine interest, not really shocked by the fact that she went into the woods to relax but still very interested in that fact. With how clumsy she could be, he wondered if maybe she shouldn’t do it alone. “Well I’d love to see other things you’ve done.” 

Hook didn’t even try to hide the shit-eating grin that pulled across his face as she opened the gift he’d gotten her. His grin turned into a full-blown laugh at her reaction, grabbing the necklace to gently clasp it around her neck. “It looks great. Best present ever, right?” 

Extracurriculars: Fencing

“Surely you’ve heard of the powder room talk, right? Anyone attracted to a fine looking man is going to speak about it to someone, and then well.. it’s like wildfire around here.” She grinned towards him. “Depends who you’re talking too. I personally enjoy my feathers ruffled. A little bad was never all that bad, sweetums.” She shrugged giving him a grin. 

“I’d still like to know who’s talking about me. If anything, now I want to know more now that they might be attracted to me.” He was the rough and tumble type of person, not necessarily the kind of person that fit in a place like this. At her comment, he arched a brow, wondering if this was the type of girl he attracted. The bold, brash, not afraid to take what she wanted type. “Whatever floats your boat, I guess,” he agreed before pausing and laughing lightly at his pun. “See, it’s funny because I’m a sailor.” 

Caroline had her sketchbook in her lap and she was busy at work. Coloring in a sketch she’d made the week before to get the feeling of what colors she’d want to use when she painted it. As someone came up she pulled her attention away. A bit surprised to have found Hook standing there. “Hi, Honk.” She teased shaking her head. “I’m just working on a little art project of mine. What are you up to?” 

There was that ridiculous nickname again, and he rolled his eyes. “I keep telling you, I’m not a goose,” he said with a laugh as he took a seat beside her and looked over at what she was working on. “It looks good, do you do a lot of art?” Hook shifted to pull a small box from his pocket. “Oh me? I’m just looking for you. Because I got you something. I saw it and I just had to get it. Here.” He handed her the small box and somehow grinned wider as he waited for her reaction.

There weren’t a ton of people that Hook was excited to go see, but somehow, after a couple hours, Caroline had managed to wriggle her way into his life whether he liked it or not, and that put her on his short list. So when he’d spotted something in town that reminded him of her, he didn’t think twice and bought it before heading back to campus to find her. The smile on his face was pure amusement as he spotted her. “Hey, clumsy, what’s up?”

Since arriving back to Santa Monica, Hook had been finding himself feeling restless. He was starting to feel like it was time to move on when he’d barely spent any time in the area at all. Hoping that it would give him a helping hand out of the restless rut he’d fallen into, he made his way through campus in the hopes of finding a certain redhead. 

When he finally spotted her, a smile tugged at his lips and he jogged to close the distance between them. “Hey, Sally! Hey, um, I was wondering if maybe you’d want to come out on the boat with me? I remember you were interested in it back when we talked about it at the party, I don’t know if you remember...” He fell off awkwardly at the end an ran a hand through his hair, shifting on his feet in an attempt to keep from fiddling with his hands.

Phobias

Roger didn’t see anything wrong with the other guy’s attire, but he could see why it didn’t fit. “Hmm, you could buy a Darth Vader mask and it’s pretty much settled I think. Well you’d have to take off the other stuff, or just make it a crossover” he shrugged.

“Now hang on just a minute, you might be onto something there.” Hook nodded and looked around until he spotted someone walking with a Vader mask on and ran over to steal it off their head before darting back through a cluster of people and in front of Roger. He pulled it on and held his arms out. “Yeah? Yeah? What’s the verdict?” 

Sulley furrowed his brow in confusion, “How could you mistaken Disney and Harry Potter. This is coming from a Ravenclaw.” 

“Don’t always think things through. Or pay attention, really. Heard Orlando and just kind of lumped them all together. I just consider it lucky I didn’t think Orlando Bloom and show up as an elf,” he explained, mostly joking.

“Well, that certainty is one hell of a fashion statement to be making at Disney World.” she started biting into her lower lip to try and muffle the sound of her laughter. 

“That’s me, statement making guy, person.” He fixed his robes a little awkwardly. “I should probably find something Disney themed, huh?”

Taran stifled a laugh and shrugged, “At least you’ll be easy to find.” He ran his fingers through his hair, pushing it off his sweaty forehead. Florida was hot, way too hot for his liking. “Aren’t you dying in that, though? It’s like, a million degrees here.”

“Hey, true that!” He pointed to the other young man with his wand, “Ravenclaw, right?” At his question, the heat he’d been doing his best to ignore became annoyingly noticeable again as a flash of heat went down his back and his skin prickled against the heat of the robes. “Now that you mention it, yes, but I gotta commit, right?”
