Light at the End | Desiree & Michael
Desiree listened attentively to his comments about how the hospital was arranged and how suicide probably wasn’t one of the most frowned upon ways out in today’s zombie filled world. She shook her head almost immediately. “Didn’t come this far t’ blow m’ brains out fer someone to stumble ‘cross. ‘er to serve as some walker main course”, she smirked faintly as her gun hands started to come down a little bit but she was still on guard. By now sense should have been screaming at her that he wasn’t after her goods because he already stocked up on plenty of his own. Truth was, Desiree had started out alone in this journey to the safe place, or what she called it. The blonde knew an attractive man when she saw when and the boy with the pretty eyes in front of her was definitely impressive. She was surprised he didn’t have a little damsel in distress wife clinging on to his hand and screaming at the sound of leaves blowing in the wind outside. Michael went to move off back into the wild and Desiree swallowed hard, lowering her gun down immediately. She had a funny feeling it would show as weakness or fear but, she was tired of talking to herself. It was a lonely road and she wasn’t about to fully give up this tall drink of water who miraculously stumbled in her way. “Wait!”, she called before she did a little skip and her hair swished back and forth as she ran up to him, having to look up. “I ain’t really that nasty. I’m headin’ t’ the CDC and I’m shit outta maps. ‘Sides, y’ ain’t got much room t’ talk, darlin’, didn’t even offer a girl yer name.”
