"Recklessness and some mild stupidity aren't always the worst attributes in these jobs," Amelia shrugged, winking at Andy. "Not the worst, for the ones who are smart enough to use it wisely. But also a fatal flaw." Taking on her final thoughts, she spoke with a confident nod, "unclear about which path this kid's taking, though."
Andy couldn't argue with Amelia. There was some level of recklessness required in order to continuously put your life on the line and run into burning buildings with an inability to fully know what was going on inside. "I know that I can't argue with you there. But he's so new. Right now is the time to listen and learn so that his recklessness doesn't end up in tragedy for himself or the rest of his team who try to help him." She was sure he had just been trying to prove himself, but in trying to do so he'd done the exact opposite. "Your day going any better than mine is?"
