As more news comes about the more I'm reminded about what I had to witness at the Marlboro 500 at Fontana in 99. Sure it was good seeing @adrianf007 win and @jpmonty2 get his first championship but it's still a grim reminder of the dangers this sport presents. As a racer, its something we forget about when we put the visor down. And to the pessimist its a constant nagging issue. But as racers we put faith in our machines and ability to only focus on the main goal of winning. Not for sponsors, manufacturers, team recognition, or glory. It's In bedded within us to win, and we will prioritze or sponsors, sponsors and team first and foremost because each and every true racer is a humble person. Just as Greg Moore, Alex Zanardi, Kenny Brack, Scott Dixon, and my all time favorite and greatest American open wheel hero, the great Dario Franchitti each did. It's an accumulation of everything put forth from everyone that results in a win. That's what drives us and what drives great people like James Hinchcliffe to push the limit.
