headcanon that sometime in the 70s or early spike started putting his effulgent poetry to music and created a deeply awful punk band. they never got any notoriety but spike has a couple of demo tapes that he fondly listens to. one day dawn discovers them and she decides its the coolest music ever made. she shows it to buffy who thinks that spike's music is awful but is secretly kind of charmed by it.
