This one has both Heart and Control.
And it's taken an interest in Pomro.
I'm really out here making relationship charts for an AU. Wanted to get this made at some point to keep interpersonal relationships straight, mainly because I am going to turn this into a webcomic at some point, but I ain't drawin' all that shit. I'm gonna build models in Blender and use that instead. Less work in the long run. I hope.
As for the AU itself, I'm tentatively calling it "Circus of the Sun." Main differences being that the C&A programmers caught Caine before he was able to "cannibalize" the second A.I. and Scratch consciously broke several programming best-practice rules to keep them from killing each other, namely by tying certain vital processes and functions into each other AI so that "killing" one kills them both.
Second difference is just a full genderswap for Pomni and Jax. That's it. Nothing to do with my previous artwork/fic i made. Yes, that means more funnybunny. I'll stop making funnybunny when you pry my drawing stylus out of my cold, dead hands.
Explanations of certain characters/relationships under the cut; the chart is also mostly one-way, how each character sees each other. It's not a summary of their whole relationship, though I probably broken that rule a couple times, I just can't remember where. Also, I'm aware the difference between "hate" and "unknown" are hard to tell apart, you'll have to download the images and expand them yourselves, because they're there and I'm not redoing all this work.
I know that whole spiel was extremely disjointed, but that's the best way I could think of describing this mess.
Pomro

Gangle
Gangle being Jaz's "rival" is only there because I couldn't think of a good way to implement a "one-sided" indicator without redoing everything lol. She doesn't like Jaz as much as Jaz doesn't like her, but she's just too nice to push back.
Zooble
Zooble's the only one who actually likes Abell due to the both of them bonding over hating the Circus and Zooble thinking Abell's antics getting on Caine's nerves is pretty funny.
Jaz
Jaz's whole relationship with Ribbit started off normal, but she's demisexual and deep in denial about it. So when Ribbit finally Abstracted, it caused something to snap, which comes on top of a lot of self-loathing issues, so in short: despite what she says, she's not having fun.
...which is why she also fears and craves Pomro's attention in equal measure

Caine
Has Control, but no Heart.
Caine's still delusional enough to think everyone's his best buddy. The only exception and the one who he actively hates is Abell, due to a holdover from his escape and almost "eating" him before the programmers effectively lobotomized them both. He wants to hurt Abell, but can't due to that going against his programming, which makes him hate Abell more, creating a constant negative feedback loop that he can only assuage by creating new adventures.
Also, how do some of y'all draw this mf and make him look good? I had to erase my progress on his portrait twice. I tried giving him curved teeth and that looked abysmal, and the first iteration wasn't even Caine, he was "Co-Caine." what black magic deal did you take to get that power?
Abell (Bubble)
Has Heart, but no Control.
He's just as off-the-wall as Bubble is in canon, but has the added benefit of being a full, thinking AI, which allows him to slow down and talk to other people normally when the need calls for it. He's half the reason Abstractions don't happen as fast in this AU (though they still end up happening anyway)
(he also likes acting like a gremlin to make Caine mad)

we gotta get back to torrent distribution, i just watched someone eat eight grand in bandwidth charges because they ran a direct-download piracy site with local file hosting through cloudflare. torrents were invented literally for this exact reason
i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3
unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it
i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map
i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs
this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.
crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.
Based on the EP 9 trailer, it stands to reason Jax is going to fuck over everyone else’s attempts to escape either willingly or through rash, poorly thought-out decisions brought about by his own insecurities
Based on Goose’s comment about how “Pomni’s not going to have a good time” in EP 9, it stands to reason that her staying behind in the Circus after helping everyone else escape is one of the better outcomes.
Look, all I’m saying is, if Pomni willingly stays behind with Jax, I will go fucking feral.
