It’s a little surreal to see posts talking about people coming back to tumblr from twitter and treating it like WELL WELL WELL LOOK WHO CAME ~CRAWLING BACK~ WELCOME HOME LOSERS as if all the artists/nsfw blogs/18+audiences/etc left tumblr because they’d been lured away by a false prophet, and not because,,, y’know, tumblr banned us, made our blogs unusable, and purged our content.
twitter’s a fuckin terrible site for art are you kidding me? how many of us had a decade of history on this site and then had to rebuild our audience up from scratch? that shit sucked! we did not run away, we were kicked out– like i know everyone’s memories since the pandemic are shot but do y’all really not remember this? we are but rats treading water between multiple burning ships, friends, have a care
