——✨ WHAT IS MOREQUEER?

morequeer is an anti-radqueer or radqueer-critical blankqueer stance and community. it's for folks who are "too radical" for regular queers, but not radical enough to be considered radqueer. it's for anybody who holds what would be referred to as "radqueer adjacent" beliefs but does not wish to be associated with the radqueer community. ex-radqueers and anyone else trying to turn away from the radqueer community are welcome to be morequeer.

it also exists as a way for me to explain my own belief system and hopefully find like-minded individuals.

FLAG MEANINGS . . .

BLACK: strength, identities that involve a lack of something PURPLE: fantasy, creativity, elegance, deviance, queerness INDIGO: radical inclusionism, eccentricity, complexity BLUE: child abuse prevention, respect, responsibility TEAL: sexual assault awareness, morality, individuality WHITE: unity, harmony, identities that involve all of something GREEN: community, harmony, neurodiversity, peace LIGHT GREEN: healing, recovery, education, resilience YELLOW: suicide prevention, joy, happiness, hope ORANGE: diversity, safety, adventure, optimism

SYMBOL MEANINGS . . .

the heart is meant to represent unity and love. the wings represent recovery, healing, growth, and freedom. the three stars represent three core beliefs of morequeer: pro expression, pro love, and pro recovery. the upside down rainbow symbolizes diversity, queerness, and nonconformity. the heart and rainbow together also form an eye sort of shape, which represents responsibility and critical thinking. the sparkles on the sides of the first flag represent eccentricity, diversity, and uniqueness. it also represents the celebration of life and the belief that every life is valuable.

——✨ BELIEFS AND STANCES

humanitarianism : all life has value. do what's best for both yourself and for others. help other people whenever you can. try to assume the best in people, but make sure you keep yourself safe, too. morequeer is anti-war, anti-genocide, anti-harassment, anti-TERF, anti-SWERF, and anti-bigotry as a whole. it is pro-kindness, pro-love, pro-choice, and without borders.

pro reform : support for complete systemic and societal reforms. the current systems in place are unjust, oppressive, and discriminatory. anything someone needs to survive should be free.

radically pro-recovery : everybody is capable of change, and everybody deserves access to the resources they need to do so. nobody is irredeemable or a "lost cause" because of the harm they have caused. exercise forgiveness and second chances.

anti death penalty : morequeer is inherently against the death penalty, for everyone and anyone. no exceptions.

pro harm reduction : support for harm reduction tactics and meeting struggling individuals where they are, rather than attempting to force them straight into recovery.

radical inclusionism : support for all good-faith identities that do not harm others. this includes contradictory or complex identities.

pro endo : morequeer is pro endo and supports all forms of endogenic plurality. it does not support transabled or transharmed identities, such as transramcoa or transDID, however.

pro self-expression : support for all types of healthy self-expression, and embracing or reclaiming one's identity as "cringe," "freaky," or "weird." no form of self-expression should be discouraged unless it is causing harm to the individual or others (such as self-harm, suicide, bigotry, harassment, unsafe sex, drug/alcohol abuse, or violence).

pro fiction : don't like, don't read. fiction does impact reality but how it does so is entirely individual. it's normal and healthy to be able to separate fiction from reality, but not everybody is able to do so. as long as you support people's right to engage with fiction however they please, you can be morequeer. fiction can also be used as harm reduction tactic for people struggling with all sorts of harmful urges, but using fiction just for your own personal enjoyment is also valid. comparing real abuse to fiction does nothing but hurt real survivors.

pro ship : ship and let ship. do not harass or antagonize other people over shipping. support for selfships, comships, darkships, and any other types of ships.

RPF stance : morequeer supports RPF and shipping, sexual or nonsexual, if it is consented to by the individual/s in question. it does not support sexual RPF of or shipping of minors in any capacity.

pro education : support for educating others and educating oneself on topics. try to refrain from speaking your opinion on topics you do not yet understand. curiosity and asking questions is good, especially before you form a final decision on a topic. morequeer also advocates for better sex education specifically.

pro sexual expression and sex positivity : sexuality is natural and healthy. sexual diversity should be encouraged and accepted. as long as the individuals involved consent, and it's healthy for those involved, people are free to express their sexuality however they please.

pro kink : support for kinksters and kink play, alongside the destigmatization of kink. this includes more taboo kinks such as ageplay, edgeplay, fauxcest, syscest, and consensual nonconsent. encouragement of SSC, RACK, PRICK, SSICK, or CCCC practices and education surrounding kink and kink play.

pro paraphilia : support for paraphiles, the destigmatization of paraphilias, and for education surrounding paraphilias. this includes paraphilias with a harmful subject of attraction such as zoophilia, pedophilia, and necrophilia. predator is not a synonym for paraphile, and someone being a paraphile does not mean they are a predator. attraction is not equal to action.

paraphile pride and queer-paraphile unity : morequeer is open to viewing paraphilias as queer. if an individual decides their paraphilia or kink identity is queer, then they are. queer is a self-identifier. the kink community, paraphile community, and queer community have a lot of historical overlap. morequeer also supports paraphile / kink pride for chronoadults, and views kinksters / paraphiles as an oppressed group.

age of consent : morequeer believes the age of consent should be 16 at the minimum, and only extend up to those two years older than the individual until they turn 18. 18 should also be the age of majority. those who are 16 or 17 should exercise caution within relationships with someone 18 or over, as not all of those relationships are healthy.

anti contact, anti consang, and anti abuse : morequeer is strictly anti-contact for paraphilias with a subject of attraction incapable of consenting, such as children, corpses, or animals. it is also anti-contact for any paraphilias that would result in serious, irreversible harm to another individual, such as their death, even if done so with their consent. the only exceptions to this rule are paraphilias that, while potentially dangerous or traumatic, are capable of being done in a safe, controlled, consensual manner, such as many BDSM practices. morequeer is also anti-consang due to the unbalanced power dynamics, grooming, and abuse associated with incest.

insystem / cross-system relationships : morequeer supports insystem or cross-system relationships all kinds, including those that would be unethical in the real world. morequeer supports syscest, and is inclusive of sexual littles or sexual theriform alters, assuming they have the mental capacity to consent to sex, can communicate, understand what sex is, and are in a body capable of sexual consent. not every morequeer individual has to engage with these types of relationships, as for many systems, these relationships can be harmful. what matters is you allow others to do so freely.

psych critical : the psychiatric field is helpful for many, but not without its flaws. morequeer is against conversion therapy and believes attractions cannot be "cured" or "healed from." it also believes the definition of paraphilia is problematic, because normalcy is entirely subjective. diagnoses can lead to discrimination inside and outside the psychiatric field. if no harm is being caused by a symptom, then there is no need to treat it. it should be emphasized morequeer is not anti-psych, just psych-critical.

pro informed self diagnosis : morequeer recognizes that obtaining professional help and receiving a diagnosis is a privilege. as long as someone has done their research, they can self-diagnose themselves. morequeer is also against fakeclaiming without evidence.

medically unrecognized disorders : morequeer is critical in regards to MUDs, as many are redundant and can be attributed to already existing disorders. however, if one finds MUDs helpful, and is unable to find anything like it in research, then they are welcome to identify with them. otherwise, morequeer encourages one to look for a different label to describe themselves.

discourse stance : morequeer is essentially neutral or critical in regards to discourse. more often than not discourse is a waste of time, and individuals should focus on spreading helpful resources and research rather than arguing online. however, being morequeer doesn't mean someone absolutely has to stop engaging with discourse. the choice is up to the individual. just refrain from harassment, bullying, and threats, and try to keep an open mind.

anti transharmed, transharmful, transabled, and transrace : morequeer is against transharmed, transharmful, transabled, and transracial identities. the only exception are aracial and nullracial identities and fictional races, or the original definition of transracial. this includes both identification with these identities and transitioning into these identities. morequeer supports finding alternatives for these types of identities.

transIDs and other blankIDs : morequeer supports harmless transIDs or blankIDs. however, it does encourage individuals to exercise caution with these terms. some blankIDs, particularly permaIDs, can be problematic and anti-recovery, such as the term "permadisordered" for example. it encourages introspection and asking oneself questions as to why they identify or want to identify in a certain way.

radqueer critical / anti radqueer : ultimately, why one is radqueer-critical or anti-radqueer is up to the individual. the following are just some reasons why i, the creator of morequeer, am against radqueers. the radqueer community is very anti-recovery, accepting of predators and predatory ideology (pro-contactism), and discourages critical thinking through the idea of radical acceptance.

anti xenosatanism : morequeer is anti-xenosatanist. it is against bestiality, public sex or public nudity outside of designated places, the legalization of csam/csem, minors in sex work, minors in kink, incest, consang, rape, child molestation, the commercialization of human flesh, self-harm, suicide, the anti-psych movement, and the abolishment of the age of consent and/or the age of majority.

other stances that didn't really fit anywhere else : morequeer is against "narcissistic abuse" or similar terms. morequeer supports recreational or medical, educated drug and/or alcohol use. soft drugs, such as weed and shrooms, should be legal. morequeer believes dysphoria is not necessary for someone to be transgender and views gender as a social construct one can do whatever they want with. morequeer is against cringe culture but also reclaims and embraces being cringe. morequeer supports co-existence with those one disagrees with or finds harmful, on the basis that every life has value. however, one is not and should not be forced to be around those who make them uncomfortable or cause harm to others. morequeer is also anti-censorship. morequeer believes everything happens for a reason, in a literal sense. morequeer is against self harm and eating disorder communities. morequeer also encourages people to block/mute accounts and terminology to curate their own online experience.
