i think just drawing these freehand is going to be faster, but i am afraid of it because i get bouts of tremors and it is an agonizing reminder that i might not be able to do the one thing im even a little competent at for much longer

affinity designer is so much better than adobe illustrator but holy fuck i hate how masks work in it, it's like the complete opposite to the way masking works in literally every other design software that does masking, i gotta move shit into illustrator just to do masking and it suuuucks

also illustrator has far more options for non-destructive editing. i understand 3d models and 2d vectors work differently in quite fundamental ways, but i just want something that is just Blender Except It's 2D, even down to the Nodes system

one time this woman at a zoo told me about tribolytes and i said "hey i think theyre actually called trilobytes" and she was like "youre a dumb fucking kid" or soemthing to that effect "i know more than you bc im a groan up" type shit and moral kf the story im still upset about it 20 years later because I WAS FUCKING RIGHT

i had the exact same experience when i was like 11 i was in history class and the fuckhead teacher was teaching us about how polynesian explorers were crossing the pacific by island hopping and he was asking the class how they might have found new islands and i was thinking about it and i was like oh they could have followed birds! because birds need to rest on islands so they probably would have followed in the rough direction of islands and he was like kid you are so fucking stupid you're gonna follow birds out in to the ocean and die lol any other braingeniuses have any ideas and then he advanced to the next slide and it was talking about how they followed birds and i laughed so loud and hard that he had to spend 15 minutes calming the class down kill all teachers
