So nobody Is probably gonna read this but I need to rant and I don't know where else to do it..
So I've been watching Hart of Dixie (because I needed more Wilson Bethel and I don't have access to All Rise where I live..) and I am soo frustrated by Wade and Zoe's relationship.
Apparently when the show aired, everyone seemed to think that the two needed to be endgame and so the writers made it happen. But I just don't think they're good together.. and nobody seems to think the same so I going insane!
Like I get the appeal of their relationship in season 1, they're chasing each other, there's banter, the will they won't they dynamic it's fun to watch, we're rooting for them, and there's great chemistry.
But then, comes season 2, they get together and we get to see how Ill-fitted they are.
Now, everybody agrees on the fact that Wade is super immature, he has a lot of insecurities and he's incapable of expressing his feelings to Zoe, which doesn't really make him a great partner for her.
What people don't seem to see is that she isn't a great partner for him either. Not only does she always make him feel like her life is more important than his, she also runs to the guy He believes he's standing in for every time something does wrong between them ! Like George is a secondary character of Zade's relationship, how is that "couple goal" or whatever !?
Season 3 proves that they don't need each other. In fact, Wade grows as a person so much more without Zoe and his relationship with Vivian is so much more enjoyable imo. I really enjoyed that storyline, and the way it ended but instead of pushing him again towards Zoe they could have find someone else. Cause Joel was also a great match for Zoe and I get that people find him boring but her bringing a guy for the city and also turning him into a Bluebell lover was fun.
Anyways, I'm on the first episode of season 4 and I find Zoe's "effort" to get back with Wade super cringy and I just don't want them back together because if you have to force your way into someone's heart than there was never a place for you in it to begin with...
Well that was super long so thanks if you took the time to read, I appreciate it. And if not sorry for making you scroll down all that way !
Glad that about 80% of the viewers started watching Young Sherlock thinking "do we really need this ?", and ended up obsessed. I feel seen.
So, i just watched young sherlock and
1. Everyone has met a 'Sir' bucephalus hodge who constantly takes credit for everyone else's work.
2. I really think they should stop giving Sherlock a sister. Like, ok it's supposed be this long lost sibling/dark family secret/badass woman is victorian era trope. But it is possible to make that character without making her the sister [i mean look at Xiao Wei. She's so awesome, i don't have enough words. She went from a village cut off from the outside world to victorian age Uma Thurman in Kill Bill (idk how to properly describe her so please settle for this, it's a compliment)].
The point is, it feels like they're trying to be woke or feminist or whatever by giving us a 'female Sherlock' but it falls short.
Addendum: if you want a female sherlock, just make sherlock a woman. The Japanese adaptation did that and even though it was short, it was awesome.
3. I really REALLY wish that Cordelia Holmes had gone full rage mode on Silas. This asshole faked her daughter's death, abused (at least emotionally but i also believe physically because Mycroft flinched because of him) her children, practically stole her wealth, and locked her up in an ASYLUM. WHERE SHE WAS ELECTROCUTED AND TORTURED.
4. They did Mycroft a bit dirty. Like, this is the softest most loving iteration i have seen of him and he deserved to be treated better. I get that he is exasperating. But, he was also a child. As the elder child, he must have been so scared AND AWARE of what was happening during Beatrice's death. And it's clear he has shouldered the burden of protecting his brother and mother as best as he could, POSSIBLY PROTECTING THEM FROM HIS OWN FATHER.
5. They wrote Beatrice with too little depth. She goes through so much emotional trauma and we never really see a lot of emotion from her. She's clearly capable of emotion but she's written to be so ... unbothered? by everything that's happened. I really wish they had shown her spiral and be traumatised by the truth and her father's manipulation and see her confront her reality.
Thank you for reading my ramblings
Do you think maybe Beatrice is written as "unbothered" because she suppose to be a bit sociopathic? Maybe I didn't understand the scene, but doesn't she dissect a bird in one of the flashback scenes ?
I feel like she was shown to be really apathetic and even her change of heart when Cordelia tells her about the magpie didn't feel genuine.
She mostly want to kill Silas because he's planning on replacing her with Sherlock, so it's just jealousy and even her "attraction" to Moriarty (although clearly, we understand 😉) kinda feels only motivated by the fact that He is very interested in her. So once again, pretty selfish reasons.
I really loved the show, and the mystery around her death was really interesting but I do have mixed feelings about her character.
Don't know how we're supposed to feel about her and to be honest, if (when ?) we get a season 2, I'd rather witness 8 episodes of Sherlock and Moriarty's crumbling friendship with their banter and competition than a Moriarty/Beatrice partnership.
That rambling being over, I do wish they had made Cordelia the one to end Silas, she definitely had the spirit, but I think actually taking a life would be really out of character for her ... but like super satisfying, nonetheless 😅

Me watching Young Sherlock for the third time
Does any Carats know a reliable tumblr or any other site where I could get the latest news about the band ? 🙏🏻
Cause I always find things out super late or just get info out of context and it's so frustrating 🥺😭
Please help a fellow Carat out ! I will be forever grateful 😌
Safe travels, sir. Thank you for everything.

I'm starting a collection
"I don't want to see him as a villain"
GIRLIE POP there is nothing wrong with him being a villain because the best ones have a reason for being the way they are, and I will die on that hill. The best villains make you sympathize, the best ones make you teeter on what you would do in that situation. You might hate that you agree, but dammit if he doesn't twist my brain and force me to see him as human in spite of all the awful shit. Complexity and being morally grey is knowing this is a villain and you fucking adore him anyway.
Recharging
kpop used to be ballads, love songs, breakup songs, cheesey songs 😒 you know what I mean, and then there were b.a.p and their songs were a boost of energy far away from the soft pop
b.a.p weren't the first, but they were pioneers 😠 I find irritating people saying the 4, 5 or whtvr "it" boy group is so "original"
groups before b.a.p didn't wear military uniform that much, now everybody wears it
before b.a.p dancing, most groups slow danced, now everybody dances like warrior, power or one shot
b.a.p don't get enough credit, they're more like an obscure part of kpop 🥲
my fave was way before yours 😑

Pencil refstudies of the animal my brain is stuck on, then put a bit of watercolour and pencils on ♥
#reblogging because it appeared on my feed and they're soooo adorable everyone should see them !!
All the people that think Oppenheimer is a propaganda movie actually make me laugh, because it is propaganda! Just not the nationalistic/patriotism kind.
It’s literally about a guy that lives to regret his most renowned invention, who wished more than anything it wouldn’t become a weapon, and when faced with his own guilt is told to suck it up and fake a smile.
This movie is trying to get the audience to understand the plight of the scientist that feels like he invented death. He was manipulated time after time by the US military and government, and truly was used for his genius more than he “used” anyone.
It is a 3 hour movie of pain, regret, and opposition between scientific progress and moral implications of doing so.
Don’t shit on a fucking movie because you read a tumblr post about it. Do your own fucking research and maybe go see the movie before you lay such harsh judgement on it.
