And like, I get it, God I think that was one of the cruelest thing that happened in the entire buffy-verse, BUT ! The first time we hear "You came back wrong", it is coming from Spike, that is getting off on beating her and taunting her to reciprocate. And we get that she didn't ACTUALLY came back wrong, just that the chip didn't consider her human anymore, but that's just it ! One of the biggest messages of season 6, at least to me, was that even when you are hurt, even when you suffer, you are still yourself and life is worth living just for the sake of it.

Buffy ultimately didn't come back wrong. Being depressed and feeling like dying all the time isn't being wrong, it is being hurt. She is hurt, but she is STILL herself and things may never go back to how they were, but she can and will move forward and find new happiness in her future. That's what makes her so extraordinary.

(Also, personally, I think she'd even feel lowkey insulted to win such a poll, ngl.)
