EVOKE is a ten-week crash course in changing the world. The goal of the social network game is to help empower people all over the world to come up with creative solutions to our most urgent social problems. 

If your yet to see it this is a great way to design products that people want and get them to market in weeks.  http://www.quirky.com/ is a community of product designers and product users (that means you!) that come together each week and vote on the best idea. People from all warps of life can join in perfecting the product and if it wins you get paid for your input every time it's sold. We definitely like this idea and are looking forward to designing new productions with everyone. 

We love Toms Shoes and the idea that you can paint your own is even better :).  If you don't know by now for every pair of shoes you by from Toms they give another pair away for free to people in desperate need.
