I Do (Natasha Romanoff x Reader)
Request; Can you write a Natasha x Reader fic where Natasha told everyone that she’s gonna marry reader (while reader is not around) after bringing everyone back (before they went back in time) and after the funeral the other avengers told reader Natasha’s plan?
Request; Can the reader date Natasha but disappeared with everyone else and Natasha spends forever trying to bring her back and she cries like during that one scene and Steve talks to her?
A/N; The first Request sorta didnt make sense so I just went with it. These two requests seemed to match so I put them together

“This must of cost a fortune,”
Natasha sinks down onto the couch next to Clint, smiling as he examined the ring between his pointer finger and thumb,
“I was going to ask her on our third anniversary of dating. But Thanos took her from me,” Nat breathes, Clint looking at her through hooded eyes, frowning and handing the ring back to her,
“Even though I havent asked her yet, I hold onto this ring like it was hers all along,” Nat cracks a watery smile, placing the ring in the red rose box and setting it in her lap,
“She wouldve said yes,” Clint pats her hand, “And she will. Because we’re going to bring her back,”
“Dont give me false hope,” She mocks, looking at him with teary eyes and leaning her head on his shoulder, “Everyone says shes disappeared but I didnt see it. Until I visibly see her ashes I don’t want to believe that shes really gone,”

“Nothing? You’ve found nothing?” Natasha leans forward on her hands, eyes looking between the four holograms in front of her from different parts of the world and universe,
“She’s not here, Nat,” Rhodey says lowly, watching the woman push away from the table and bite her lip roughly,
“We dont know that. None of us saw her all throughout the battle with Thanos. She wasn’t even in the same area, she might have went into hiding,”
“She would have immediately came in search for You, Natasha,” Carol explains softly, Natasha looking up at the woman through tears, “I’ll keep searching here in the west part, and keep in contact,”
Carol smiles, and steps back so she vanished from the hologram,
“Its been five years,” Rocket crosses his arms from his hologram next to Nebula, “How do we know she’s alive? Just because you didnt see her disappear doesnt mean she didn’t,”
“I know shes here,” Natasha swallows, “I was supposed to marry this woman. I was going to ask her, but I turn around and shes gone, all because of the man with the stones,”
“She’s not here, Natasha,” Rhodey says weakly, “Shes gone,”
Natasha clenches her jaw, lowering her head and allowing a tear to slide to the tip of her nose. She swiftly presses her hands to the screen on the table, the three holograms vanishing together,
“They’re just trying to help,” Natasha looks up, forcefully laughing at Steve standing at the door,
“No one can help with this one,” She shakes her head, breaths shallow, “She’s really gone, huh?”
“We dont know that,” Steve steps into the room, “But I think it will soon be time to accept it,”
“Why is it always the people we care about?” Natasha sniffs loudly, wiping her cheek only for more tears to replace them,
“I dont know,” Steve frowns, and Natasha slowly lowers herself into her chair, running a hand through her growing red hair,

You slowly turn in your black dress, Clint walking up to you with his hands stuffed in his suits pant pockets,
“Whats up?” You ask quietly, Clint moving next to you and pulling a hand out from his pocket, seeming to be holding an item,
“Natasha wanted You to have this,”
You furrow your eyebrows, eyes flickering from the man to the box, taking it from his hand,
Clint presses his lips together when you lift the lid of the box, eyes widening and filling with light tears as they stared at the glistening ring in front of you,
“I don’t understand,” You whisper, shaking your head and looking up at Clint, “She never mentioned wanting to get married,”
“She wanted to keep it a secret,” Clint says softly, pulling the ring from the box and taking your hand, sliding the ring up your finger, “She talked nonstop about how she was going to make you her wife, of how she would be the one to see you in a dress and walk down the isle,”
“Thank you,” You say gently, accepting Clints embrace and allowing yourself to fall weak against him, “I miss her,”
“Me too,” Clint sighs against your shoulder, and leans back, “But she now knows that you have the ring. That’s all she wanted,”
“I dont think I ever want to take it off,” You laugh brokenly, fingers messing with the ring,
“You gotta move on,” Clint breathes, “Shed want that too,”
“How can I?” You exhale sharply, glancing around, “Weve known one another for years on end. I helped her through nightmares, we’ve protected one another. Maybe if I hadnt had disappeared she would still be here,”
You wipe your face, and sniff, “And now, no ones noticed that shes gone. There was no memorial for her. No funeral,”
“We’ll have a memorial for her,” Clint squeezes your arm, and you look up at him, “I promise,”
“Thank you,” You repeat, Clint nodding and leaning forward, allowing his lips to press to your forehead
Natasha glances over at Tonys words, the man stepping up beside her,
“Seems like one of us is always losing the other,” Natasha forcefully chuckles, eyes shimmering, “We were gonna get married, Tones,”
“I know,” Tony sighs, “But shes going to move on. You would have done the same thing,”
“Obviously not if I was still anxious in getting her back five years after she disappeared,” Natasha raises an eyebrow, and Tony clicks his tongue, shaking his head,
“You would have gone longer. Come on,” He swings an arm at her shoulders, “Lets go find a Burger King in this joint,”
“Dont ever say joint like that again,”
Tony inhales, “Joint Joint Joint,”
