AH yes, school. Luckily an alien didn’t have to attend such a nuisance. But man, did they feel bad for Rey. Being stuck in the awful human educational system. OH TREATIES! It waited for them to float close enough before slurping them up from the water.

After a couple it begins to rise, sticking its snout out the water towards Rey. It was listening. Speaking into her mind.

     “Hah, nah I don’t need any live frogs at school too. But thanks. Honestly it just smelled bad and looked really gross, I didn’t wanna do anything with it. Means I failed that paper though, so I gotta do extra credit stuff...” She sighed before laying back on the damp rocks, looking up at the overcast sky.

     Reaching into her bag, she starts chucking whole poptarts out into the gentle surf, watching them slash into the cold sea.

     “A-Alright.. Just know that he can’t really come out. But he can talk through me.” She adjusts her footing, knowing that the switch over sometimes made her lose her balance. Then she allowed herself to take a back seat in her own mind and body, staggering slightly as her shoulders tensed before sighing. Her body language was completely different, almost confident as a hand brushed aside her bangs so the demon’s red eye could get a look at the the one that towered over them.

Leans forward and leaves multiple gentle pecks on Rotag's cheek. Lucky Him! Smells like cherry chapstick.

"Sure, if you wanna. It'll help me get more done. Would you mind doing the heavy lifting while I work on the more technical stuff?"

The words are muttered as she briefly recalls the many times she’d unintentionally caused major collateral damage. It would be so easy to just let go and not worry about how much destruction she could cause… and yet…

     She was quiet a moment, thinking to herself before sighing deeply. Without a word she pulled a stolen candy bar out of her pocket, and then another... and another... as well as some cold medicine, a bag of chips, and some gum.

"Hm, alright. Yea I do that sometimes do. Daydream and just stare off into space. Well, I'mma head out an do some work. If ya need me, I'll be outside."

"Ya okay there? Yer starin."

Was he about to admit that he had been staring at their freckles? That the way they caught the light like gold leaf and sparkled over her cheeks like scattered stardust? Absolutely not.

Well, if he can’t force her out, he would have to make her come out by the logical power of patience— and the pickaxe remaining in it’s place.

“I can wait for you to be reasonable of course, I have all the time in the world ~” 

     How the hell was this guy strong enough to stop a full throttle bulldozer with just a pickax?? She was getting frustrated, pulling levers and pushing buttons, whatever she could do, even resorting to blaring the horn... but she was burning herself out.
