This trailer got me all excited for the series, again (after losing some interest in the second season).

This was exactly what I argued with my friends when they misguidedly said that Fern and Frieren had a mother-daughter relationship. *facepalm* Fern's jealousy over Frieren hugging Methode back (we all know that scene, from the exams) absolutely does not read as familial to me.

The way that Fern continues to spend her life with Frieren when she could very well go her own way.... fact that she went through the mage exams, risking her life in the pursuit of magic JUST to see Frieren smile with her trinkets. They make me feel so much dude.

crazy how quickly dust accumulates. i should be allowed to put my trinkets on a shelf and not touch them and they remain in perfect condition forever. dont even get me STARTED on the inside of a computer. why do i have to brush your teeth. youre technology.

Otherside Picnic's use of first person feels less like an deep dive into a character's psyche and more like a hostage situation.
