#coa

This actually started as a basic anatomy study for class, but then I had Thoughts and wanted to make it into something a bit more interesting, so I did. Coa's outfit here is an amalgam of various different references and some of my own takes on details which I put in for convenience.

First off is the belt, which I added two pouches to- this was inspired by the sort of "boxy"-looking pockets on the pants of one reference, and since Coa's an architect (I really hope I'm right about that), I was imagining that it would be handy to have things like that while out and about doing your job. They also just worked well compositionally in my opinion. Didn't have room to do the full belt-ribbons on the front, tragically.

I'm not very happy with the hair- would've like to do it thinner and a bit more realistically- but that would've been pretty hard and I was kind of pressed for time, so it is what it is.

Same goes for the body itself- it's a bit less stylized overall, partially since this started as a basic anatomy study and I didn't want to completely alter the base elements. Plus, for the face in particular, the references I was working from are a bit different from each other and it's tricky to translate them to 3d, so I just did the best I could. Not elated with the result but still pretty happy with it.
