one thing u may not know about me is that i tend to want to draw characters looking into the camera (this is actually an important character trait of pascal lol he is aware of the fourth wall) but i also can't stand 5 hours at a canvas with a character looking at me so i draw them looking somewhere else initially and maybe change it right at the end #normal

I think I can balance mezian posts against The Author Is On Twitter syndrome because unlike Inver this one is very setting-first where I can talk a lot about the world without actually talking about the plot itself and I think people would find that interesting. Today I am finishing my map and I'm going to also diagram out the structure of the clergy between the secular and regular clergy, incl the different monastic orders (regular) and the parishes, dioceses, and administrative regions (secular). so fun so exciting

re: holy beast names, thinking of going in the direction of religious art wherein intricate artworks were dedicated directly to god by a named individual, and the better the art, the closer to perfection, and spiritual perfection is the goal of a monastic life in the first place. A holy beast would be the closest they can get to a 'perfect' thing

previously in mez i had a church setup where everyone got he/himmed no matter what and it was used as a way to mystify the individual person (for the same reason they wear masks) and related to the theft of their children ("you're not a mother, you do not get to be a mother") but i think it's a bit clunky and i don't see it actually feeling genuine to the time period or society i'm trying to capture so we are demystifying the genders folks we're she/shimming people again. sir heaven woman reveal
