I’d also like to thank CtM for giving Shelagh and Patrick a relationship based on respect and equality. It could have been so easy for Patrick to take a dominant role, seeing as he is 17 years older and has a ton more experience in relationships than Shelagh, being married before whilst she was a nun. I’m so glad that he is never condescending or belittling.

Watching this is making me so thankful that I live in an era where people with mental illness are treated with kindness and compassion and humanly. Granted it’s still not on par with the treatment and understanding for Physical Health and there is still a stigma attached to it. But my gosh, everything has changed so much in a mere 50 years and god knows I’m thankful for it.

My girl is back and ready to save the day💃
