I’ve just been finishing my Bachelor’s degree and moving to a different country, just life getting busy. But!!! I survived, I’m settled, and I am finally ready to dive back into the last two chapters of Twisted Devotion.

I’m so, so sorry for keeping y'all waiting, especially with the end so close. I promise I haven’t abandoned Twisted Devotion! The next chapter is about 80% done and will be the final one, just followed by the epilogue.

Also, I haven’t forgotten about the other inbox questions either, I fully intend to come back to them once things calm down a bit.

TD truly has become THE number one Hall of Fame fic for me when it comes to this pairing, I have reread it already while waiting for new chapters and certainly will again before you finish it. So sad that this beautiful story is slowly coming to an end, but also so looking forward to any new stuff with them you might write in the future, your writing is amazing!

P.S. Also random question, since Wesker looks a bit different in each game he appears in, which iteration of his appearance do you imagine/prefer for your fics/TD? As a newer player, RE4R Wesker is the one true Wesker for me that I always imagine when reading fics because it’s the first version of him that I ever saw, I just love his face there and he looks so goddamn cute without his glasses. But his RE5 look is great too. Curious what you think!

Hearing that the characters still feel true to themselves even in a different setting and dynamic? That really hits deep, because that’s something I try so hard to achieve. And yeah, writing a softer, more grounded kind of love for someone like Wesker, who’s literally the poster boy for emotional detachment and lack of empathy, is definitely a challenge, but one I genuinely love taking on. Studying his trauma, his reasoning, all the layers he hides under, and then slowly letting those unravel under Leon’s kindness and love... yeah

And calling Twisted Devotion your number one Hall of Fame fic?? Nah I’m crying 😭😭 That’s such an insane compliment, and it makes me unbelievably happy to know this fic brings you so much joy 😣🩷

As for your question, it kinda depends on the fic! For Twisted Devotion, I actually imagine RE4R Wesker too. I found some pictures on Pinterest of him in the S.T.A.R.S. uniform and ohhh lord... he looks so good. And yeees, I fully agree, he looks so damn cute without the glasses (his eye shape?? obsessed). But for Falling Through the Cracks, I definitely had RE5 Wesker in mind.

I tend to kinda switch back and forth between those two versions depending on the tone of the story i guess

Ugh, I’m so sorry for missing the last couple updates! I’ve been visiting my parents and still had quite a bit going on with my Bachelor’s stuff, so things have been a little busy 🫠

Just a quick heads up, there won’t be a new chapter today 🥲 I’ve been super swamped the last couple days with Bachelor-related stuff (rip my free time), so I haven’t had the chance to sit down and write properly (my wife @huntalia is MAKING me take a break guys, ugh)

Also, may I maybe make a fanart for Twisted Devotion 👉👈? I just love it that much. I feel like with Wesker's upbringing, he can't really love in a way that isn't completely unhealthy or obsessive. Then there's RPD Leon, who is literally a golden retriever in human form. The way you portray them is so perfect.

Also, Leon is gradually growing to have his Phyllis "Don't make me get Bob" moments (from the office) with Wesker. He's probably said that at some point.

Ohhh I actually haven’t read Star Pupil yet! I haven’t had much time to read in general the past couple months, but I’ve been meaning to finally get back into it and catch up on some more Weskennedy fics. So thank you for the rec, it’s definitely going on my list!

Also, thank you so much for your kind words about how I write Wesker and Leon… I really try to capture that exact dynamic: Wesker being incapable of feeling in any way that isn’t all-consuming, and Leon just being a sunshine mess who somehow softens even the sharpest corners.

Leon's bullet scar seems such a part of him in my head. Considering how intense Wesker was about Owens when the man never actually touched Leon? When all of the threats are mental and emotional? I might have daydreamed a bit about how THIS Wesker would react to a physical threat!

If you are wrapping this up, no pressure! It is fun to think about and always something possible for later!

And you’re so right, if someone were to physically hurt Leon in this universe, Wesker’s reaction would be... catastrophic, to say the least.

But honestly, what I’d love to focus on even more than his wrath would be Wesker’s fear in that moment. That deep, almost unfamiliar panic of realizing how much Leon means to him, how losing him would actually hurt in a way Wesker has never experienced before. That kind of raw, helpless worry from someone who’s always been in control would be such an interesting, vulnerable thing to explore. I think that emotional breakdown, more than just his fury, would say the most about how deeply he’s fallen.

That said, I still plan to wrap Twisted Devotion up in the next couple chapters. But! I’ve got a few related one-shots coming with some spicy scenes I teased in the main fic but didn’t include because I wanted to keep the pacing between plot and smut balanced. Those will be shared separately.

So maybe I will just write this 'Leon gets hurt and Wesker spirals' scenario, as well as other ideas, into a series of one-shots set in the Twisted Devotion universe. That way, I can keep exploring ideas that don’t quite fit into the main plotline, without the pressure of turning it into one big continuous story.

Considering how protective Wesker is... 👀👀 Any chance of Leon getting his famous gunshot wound?
