The issue with this is if people are honest about using AI, people will burn them at the stake. So there is no benefit to being honest, and actually significant downsides. Whereas lying either prolongs the period in which you aren't being burned at the stake, and has the possibility of you never getting found out. So in terms of cost benefit analysis, there is no reason to be honest about using AI and every reason to lie about it.

Have you maybe considered that there's a good reason so many people hate genAI (heres a hint: it steals from actual artists/writers and is contributing to environmental damage) and will get extremely mad when they find out they've been lied to and the fact the art/fic/video/whatever they saw was made with the Lazy Slop Software That Kills The Planet.
