Unbound, grueling peace

While traveling between realities to this degree was not exactly uncommon for the Hellspawn, she had to say, this was quite the weird trip. Just who was this guy, exactly? Regardless, just standing around and gawking at her newfound environment wasn’t gonna solve anything. Time to get some answers.

“A few, actually. A metallic material is quite common here, but hard to forge without some obsidian to adhere to. There’s a brimstone crags to the far east, which hold ruins of ancient worshippers. And yer typical massive lava lake to the west.” It explained, before it morphs into some humanoid form.

“I… Uh… Hope this is better for ya…”

“I see, I see. Luckily for me, that metal material won’t be a problem. Been saving up an obsidian stash for like, a thousand years now…give or take. Not really sure why I have all that, to be honest. All it did was just take up room. The worshipper deal sounds cool, but nothing up my alley. The lava lake might make for a fun swimming spot for one of those jumbo sized lava fish…if I end up buying one.”

"Thanks. Trying out different looks to see what fits. Think this one's the comfiest." It explained. "The robe is technically part of me, as it helps retain my base form."

“Yes, an enclosed area of it, but still full of hellfire and brimstone.” It replied, before it sighs. “…Those dolls are not for sale, you have to forcefully remove them to get it. And do be careful not to let it drop in the magma, or he will awaken.”

It chuckles. “But i’m sure you can handle him if you were to burn the doll.”

“Not sure whoever this ‘he’ is, but I’m not that interested in finding out. Sounds like way too much trouble, and I just got this outfit back in pristine condition. Dry cleaning is expensive as all hell, and I’m way too broke to try being a daredevil, at the moment.”

Rubbing her hand against her chin, she looked to the other with curiosity on her mind.

As if on que, one of the demons flew past, looking like the classical depiction of a demon, yet there’s a doll of someone attached to a chain with the demon.

“Wait, for real? thought I ended up somewhere completely different, how’d I miss this place?! I have a map of Hell and everything. I filled it out myself, and looked in every nook and cranny. Hmmm…well, you learn something new every day, I guess.”

Staring at the passing demon, she noticed the doll it carried with it.

“Yes.” It replied, the robed specter hovering in place. “My real name is unknowable, but the ones that do know me: Signus, Envoy of the Devourer, Cosmic wraith, Ethereal Assassin, among other terms.”

(( hey all! LJ here with lots of love. i didn’t expect this ask-blog to fucking skyrocket but WOW did it ever??? we’re almost to 100 followers, and i’m seriously grateful for all the motivation & patience with the blog giving me fuel to rip me out of a multi-month lasting art block.

((y’all are the best. i haven’t drawn over 100 things in just over two weeks compared to my ‘draw at least once a day’ schedule. i sure did get my own ass huh.
