This is Ahmed (@zinaanqar), who I've been talking with for a little while now. Who's been incredibly dedicated in reaching out to you all for help to save his family and promote their campaign. As of late our little stardew community has become not so little, which is so wonderful! We appreciate every single one of you! We enjoy talking to you guys and interacting in character, so when I say this please don't take it as me saying stop sending us asks or stop interacting with us.

Recently there has been an uptick in the amount of inappropriate asks. I don't mean the outright sexual kind, although that is its own can of worms. I am talking about people coming into our DMS and saying that they want to hurt themselves, that they have already hurt themselves, and or that they are going to hurt themselves. When I say think know I am NOT mad at you. That is totally inappropriate and you need to stop.

We know you just want help, but that is not our job. We are strangers on the internet. We don't know you nor do you know us. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we are happy that we have fostered an environment where you feel like you can be open. But, again, You don't know us. We are not trained to help you. We are NOT who you should talk about your issues with. and again it is not our job.

We are people too. We have our own lives and our own issues. Forcing us to take on yours is not ok. I understand where you are coming from, wanting to be heard. I know in your mind that you have this close relationship with the characters we portray so its ok that you vent, but that's not the case. There is a person behind those pixels. And we are uncomfortable. We are just people on the internet not trained professionals.

We see you, we hear you, and we are so sorry that you feel this way. Im going to link a list of hotline numbers from around the world. We care that you are struggling, but we are not equipped to handle that. Please go to someone who can.
