This comic had an interesting development. In the original sketch, the eldritch abomination was a segmented, centipede/crab creature with a blank face that I initially imagined as similar to the robot from Queen's News of the World album art. On a whim, I decided instead to turn it into a creature inspired by HR Giger, seeing that the xenomorph is a bit notorious in the monster-loving community. If you're at all familiar with Mr. Giger's work, you may see where this is going.

After I lined and colored that version of the monster, I realized I had swung way, way too far. I ended up having to do some significant modifications, removing or severely toning down the imagery. There was simply no way the first pass of the monster wouldn't be flagged as, at least somewhat, pornographic. This more sanitized version keeps a lot of the elements but significantly reduces the sheer quantity of them.
