A cup of warm coffee was offered to Inumuta before Iori moved to adjust the laboratory screens, pulling up various charts and diagrams. It felt good to have the partner from his home multiverse back from college again–they had spent far too long apart.
“Good, you’re up. Clown business aside, I have something to show you. Your AI work is still coming along, right? I’d like to borrow a bit of that for a big project.”
Aside from missing the perfect opportunity to make a ‘funny business’ joke, Iori looked like he hadn’t moved much since the previous night. Did he pull an all-nighter?
“How do you feel about unmanned space travel?”
He took the cup of coffee as he nodded in his thanks. He took a step to get a brief refresher on the algorithm and design charts that his colleague had been working on. If Iori’s disheveled look had anything to say about his diligence. It certainly spoke volumes that this was indeed an ambitious project work on his hand.
“The coding for the AI should be nearly complete. All that remains is re purposing the function to what you specified. Then we can transition to the testing phase.” He took a moment to sip the coffee, A tantalizing and burning sensation coursed through as it power charged his mind. His attention was snared when he broached the topic of space travel. Admittedly, since Inumuta was a child, if there was one other subject that fascinated his curious mind was what lied beyond the stars. As of now, they were but at the infancy stage of R&D in terms of space travel.
“It poses an interesting challenge for me to delve into it. I certainly hear enough of it at university, more so in the aerospace club there to be committed such pursuits..” He mused as he brought a design document which listed all the separate functions and parameters to Iori’s hands.
