The blondie was sitting on his couch, sipping a freshly brewed coffee as he read – as peculiar as it was – a newly released copy of Shounen Jump, but he had a reason for this new taste of genre. After all, Hunter x Hunter manga had just come back from its yet another hiatus –in which he believed to happen again any time. But it was not just the deed of supporting their own merchandise, there was a deeper reason for this.
After 200 chapters (correct me if i’m wrong) of no exposure, he was, once again, in the spotlight. And he waited so long for this opportunity. He even went to the lengths of changing his hairstyle (a sexy bed hair) and clothing (a sexy black suit) –which fans would always refer as unfashionable, yet Kurapika still believed his tribal clothes were the best part of his charms. Nevertheless, he did them all just to provide a new spice for his fans. After all, if he had to do this character development, he would be more than willing to give his 200% for it.
Though his enthusiasm was gone right away when he began reading the latest chapter.
“Siskie,“ Kurapika called. “Please enlighten me as to why this man had taken our spotlight. “
And then he showed his siskie, the picture of said man.
And was it just him, or did that man copied his hairstyle?

The female version of the fandom’s canon Kurapika was reading in the corner of the bathroom for unknown reason. She just felt like reading there, again, for no apparent reason; must be the cold tiles refreshing her skin. When she heard her broskie’s voice calling her she stopped from reading for the mean time to look at him. Slim brow arched at him with his question. She had no idea what he was talking about, that’s why she stood up from her sitting position, closed the book and walked towards him to check the thing he was referring to. To her surprise, it was the leader of the Genei Ryodan showed up in the page. The rumour of Chrollo Lucilfer’s re-appearance was indeed true. She thought it was a hoax just to fill the empty feels of KuroKura shippers that had been hated by the majority of the fandom and other ships that is connected to the raven haired man.
Kurapika’s siskie laid the book down on the table right next to her, with a twitch on the side of her lips. “I don’t like what I’m thinking right now,” she responded, still staring to the manga her broskie’s was holding at. Denial was swarming her head, she didn’t like what was conjuring in her head. But the possibilities were high for why Togashi where the fans kept killing him for almost a decade for keeping Hunter X Hunter on hiatus that long decided to give the notorious leader’s another spotlight, together with the psychopath jester’s surname; Hisoka’s surname though was a huge question for her though for why they didn’t reveal this before in Heaven’s Arena Arc.
“Because of the history between our tribe and Spider long time ago there’s a high chance the re-appearance of both parties in same arc has connection.” History meant, Scarlet X Eyes X Spiders, she didn’t like it all. “But I do hope I’m wrong,” and deep inside, the man’s new hairstyle bothers her for some reason. It reminds him of her broskie, a black haired version though. “What’s with Hisoka’s last name though? Why didn’t they reveal it in the earlier arcs?”
Now that his siskie had mentioned it, Hisoka did have a last name. He felt envious, because he was a main character yet his last name was still non-existent. He could not understand why, not even the reason for existence of that demented clown. He needed justice for this unfair treatment. He had had enough of fans using his tribe name as his last name. Surely, he had that, right? They showed his parents after all.
Kurapika just shrugged. He couldn’t think of anything to reply from his siskie’s inquiry.
While he was busy with these thoughts, another statement of his siskie just sank into him.
Chrollo Lucifer’s reappearance might mean another interaction with him, one way or another. He refused to give those sinners (aka their shippers) the satisfaction of providing them their needed OTP feels -- as what he read from this website called Tumblr. What did OTP mean anyway?
But these thoughts aside, there was something more horrible that Kurapika did not want to face.
He sighed in frustration.
“Oh please, not those lame globular earrings again. I prefer not to see them one more time. “
