I know the scenes are not the same but somehow I find them similar and Max was looking at Will here so...(they made it super obvious with the scene of her looking away when Will noticed).

Anyway, I find the scenes themselves quite similar for some reason, maybe because in both scenes a third party is narrating something? Mr. Clarke narrating the Phineas Cage case and the journalist narrating the Hawkins situation.

I think many pointed out before how in this scene the iron over Will's face reminded them of the Phineas Cage story?

This person(he/him) used to be a Milkvan shipper, now he doesn't like it anymore with the way it's being written. He admits that season 1 and season 2 had fantastic Milkvan moments like their reunion in season 2 but says that in season 3 and 4 their relationship really went downhill and it's now garbage. He says that with the way the ship is being written, the only direction for Mike and Eleven to go is into a platonic friendship.

In the comments he says that he hopes it's on purpose and he's almost willing to believe Byler shippers but has been queerbaited so much throughout the years that he won't believe it until he sees it. Which I can understand.

Also in the comments there are a lot of Milkvan shippers who are also angry at the way their ship developed and it feels like it's only going downhill. Many of them say they used to love this ship but now don't care for it anymore. Also some Byler shippers who are still in doubt, saying they hope it's on purpose and not just an accidental awful relationship.
