stranger things quiz from conformity gate + byler perspective!
my current quick observations from the new stranger things quiz posted by netflix on youtube!
i'm really bad with explaing stuff and tried to rush this so bare with me ha
there were a lot of questions that asked you to guess who the character is and i noticed they mentioned a lot of forgotten characters.
so they do actually remember them.. yet none of them were mentioned once at all in s5..??
owens being mentioned the most out of all of them really had me confused too. he played such an important role in s4 and was just thrown to the side the next season like he never existed. weird.
bob and mr. clarke were also mentioned a lot too!
i think this could definitely connect to #bobgate. (pls read the pinned post on @cara-ti-amo 's account, they have a great analysis on it)
the clip they used for dustin's trap on his ghostbusters halloween costume.
they could have easily used the clip of him showing max
but they used this one. i mean, you can hardly even see the trap in this one.
"well yeah obviously, it's not about the trap. it's whats inside."
the "trap" being getting people to believe the fake episodes and surface level things while the "inside" is all the plotholes, unanswered questions, that could be used to make a perfect twist.
another question i found weird was this one (this isn't really a big thing at all but),
this isn't really a popular quote and the words had me thinking. this quote is currently me with stranger things and conformity gate.
"but i'm betting on the fate of the planet" us thinking about conformity gate a lot and actively interacting with the community- "that you're one of the good ones." that stranger things is actually as good as we think it is. that they didn't truly forget the story.
they also made mistakes with the answers on some questions.
the first one was the answer to who the baseball bat belonged to.
the bat actually belongs to jonathan and nancy. it was originally a weapon meant for jonathan but it ended up being given to steve and it has been known as his iconic bat for a while.
though that could be why they made the answer steve, we also need to remember that vecna has only really ever seen steve use the baseball bat.
which could also be the reason why steve became a baseball coach even though he was mostly known for playing basketball.
the second mistake they made was this.
the mask actually belongs to max. eddie only wore it. vecna getting things mixed up again?
question number 22 was a finish the line question about the "crazy together scene". will's birthday is march 22nd. (this also kind of connects to conformity gate bc march 22nd is henry's bday too).
we all know about blue meets yellow in the west. and it was VERY disappointing because there were a lot of hints in s5 that connected to this line but nothing ever came out of it. examples : here and here.
so they didn't forget about blue meets yellow in the west after all-!
lastly, at the very end, the words "thank you for participating!" repeat exactly 7 times at the end.
