While sometimes being stuck inside could be a total snoozefest, it also had its perks. Thor had free rein of the apartment yet despite his freedom, the chu mostly kept to the living room. Sometimes he’d take a nap in Satoru’s room but he really enjoyed the openness of the living room. Not to mention he had access to the balcony so he could watch humans pass by down below.
Today, however, Thor was planted in front of the TV. He sat comfortably on his haunches with his wiry bolt-shaped tail curled about his feet as he watched the screen. It had taken a few tries for him to get the hang of ‘channel surfing’ but once he did the chu found himself hooked on a variety of human entertainment.
At the moment, he was seriously invested in some romance drama that was currently airing. He didn’t fully understand why the main girl didn't just tell the guy she liked so much how she felt instead of getting hung up on some misunderstandings and thinking he wasn't interested. Humans were so weird. Thor wrinkles his nose and rolls his eyes at the fake-out kiss that almost happened on screen. What a load of crap! With a disappointed sigh, he starts to reach towards the remote to change the channel, but then Satoru enters the room.
Thor immediately senses him approaching long before he reaches him. His long ears swivel in his direction, and assuming the sorcerer wanted to be caught up, the chu begins to ramble without taking his eyes off the screen. "Man, Satoru, you totally missed it! Mayumi really blew it this time. She almost—" However, his words are immediately cut off when Satoru scoops him up.
He barely reacts as he's carried over to the couch and plopped onto the taller man's chest. The Raichu happily accepts his fate, purring and swishing his long tail. He then settles comfortably against his companion who'd already begun to relax, gently kneading his paws against Satoru's shirt while nuzzling his face against him with a happy coo.
Ah, he could tell him about the show later. For now, Thor curls up comfortably, resting his head on folded arms as he begins to drift off.
What a perfect time for a nap!
' heh . no promises ! ' none that it didn't think it would ever be able to keep , at any rate . ' besides , you ended up getting way more than me anyways . was a whole chocolate bar and half a hamburger not enough for you ? i bet he feeds you regularly . just 'cause you're all cute . '
and with that it smushes a hand down on the other's skull to give them a somewhat condescending pat-pat . that glare and smolder sure was scary , but you know what else was ? having every single one of your necessities wholly at the mercy of another person's whims . for satoru himself , it could have been as easy as just forgetting . for his doppelganger , it was suffering in the dark . ' --- anyhow , are you sure he's not just fattening you up to stick ya into an oven ? a nice big roast juuuuust about your size could probably feed the both of us !! '
“Eh? What are you talking about?” His glare intensifies at the condescending pat to his head. “It’s normal to feed your guests.” This guy was weird! Even more weird by the fact that he looked and sounded just like Satoru, but far more unpleasant.
"No way!" The chu exclaims, flat end of his bolt-shaped tail shooting out as quick as a whip to whack at the hand gripping his scruff so he could be put down. "Satoru promised to help me get back home." He'd insist, ears pinning back slightly against his head.
"So there’s no way he'd do something like that." Once his feet were back on solid ground, the chu jumped back a little out of the others' reach while also keeping a steady eye on him.
"Keh." There were things he could have responded with, but they were better kept to himself. It would have probably made him out to be a bigger ass than he already had been. "Y'don't have t'make anything on my account, y'know." It wasn't a lack of appreciation for the action. More of a 'why' in the form of a statement, rather than a question.
"Remind me again why you were here in the first place? There must've been somethin' important to be this far from... wherever the hell 'from' is for you."
“It’s fine.” She knew how to handle a snippy attitude, and honestly? It was almost nostalgic for her in a way, kind of reminding her of Nibyo before he warmed up to her. “It only makes sense to have a good meal on a nice night like this.” Along with the fish, she had a few rice balls packed away that would pair well with the skewers. “Besides," she continues with a small shrug. "I’m used to cooking for others, so it doesn’t bother me.”
“Well, I’ve decided to start my own village back in my homeland, but it’s still small and needs a lot of work. So I just wanted to see how other village leaders operate as a reference.” She’d done a lot of traveling before with her friends, but their goal at the time had been collecting the Kokonotsu, so they never really stayed in one place for too long to truly learn anything, and when they did, it was mostly due to someone being gravely injured and needing downtime to recover.
"It's technically espionage. Got this whole problem involving a yokai parent and their kids. Your job would be t' sneak into a vent and tell and listen in on some info..kinda like a tight stakeout. Cookin' doesn't cover the bill for a drone so I'll have t' get creative."
A stakeout, huh? Sounded easy enough. Thor nods along while standing up on all fours so he could stretch out and shake his limbs. With one final big stretch he approaches Yusuke, settling back on his haunches near the mans feet.
"Ok," he says after a moment. "Anything else I need to know about before going in?" While he's accompanied Yusuke on a few cases so far, this would be his first solo mission. He was both excited and a little nervous, but the chu was determined enough to not let it show.

Her ear swiveled to Opacho but she could not take her eyes off the beautiful puddle. The shimmering colors swirl like oil.
[ Is it not beautiful, Opacho? It rained not too long ago. ]
"Mhm." Opacho nods, also focusing her attention on the shimmering colors. It was so pretty! Opacho had to make sure she remembered it so she could draw it later. She crouched down beside Amaterasu and rested her hands on her knees. It was good that it rained; it's been so hot recently. "Opacho like when it rain! Do you like the rain, Lady Ama?"

It may not be said aloud but the gesture rings clear, she loves Opacho to bits.
Ooh! Lady Ama was approaching! From her spot in the fields, Opacho had perked up and then begun to squint at the sight of the fluffy goddess. As the sun deity drew closer the young shaman was soon able to recognize that she carried something bright and colorful between her teeth. It was a flower crown!
"Ah..." Once the goddess was before her Opacho blinked slowly in surprise when the crown was suddenly placed on her head, settling gently atop her big, puffy fro. Opacho lets out a small sound of appreciative awe at the gesture and stares at Amaterasu with big, wobbly eyes. "Opacho loves you too Lady Ama!" She'd cry, happily leaping towards the goddess and wrapping her little arms tightly around her neck while nuzzling her face in her soft fur.

"Things feel peaceful tonight. Don't ruin it."
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” Comes her flat response, equipped with a light sigh. Neya then goes back to flipping their fish skewers in front of the small campfire instead. They were almost ready. “Food’ll be done soon.”

"A favor?" Thor lifts his head curiously from his paws, ears twitching at Yusuke’s words. From his spot curled up on the floor, the chu slowly sits up and looks over at the detective. "Uhh, sure. Whaddya need me to do?"

Although he was now aware his electrical attacks were useless—it was so annoying too; they just bounced off them like they had a Barrier attack up or something! Thor was still letting loose sparks despite the invisible wall, glaring at the other with such vitriol that if looks could kill, Doppel would be a smoking lump at his feet!
He dangles in the other's hold, listening to the man speak, scowl planted firmly on his muzzle as he slowly eases up on the electricity. Soon, the thin bolts that were firing from his frame disappeared altogether as he lets out an irritated huff. "Tch... fine." He relents with a grumble, stubby arms crossing over his front. He's only agreeing because he doesn't wanna cause any unnecessary trouble for Satoru. Thor then fixes Doppel with one last indignant glare. "But next time, don't take my food!"

Thor's head briefly presses down due to the sudden, unexpected weight against his cranium, causing him to nearly drop his half-eaten burger. Carefully gripping the sandwich between his paws, he immediately straightens up and pushes the other's feet off with one paw, glowering before going back to his food.
"Urgh... what's your problem? I didn't even do anything!"

No way! "Woah!" His two favorite foods?! Thor looks down at the plate, then back up at Satoru, tail swishing happily behind him when his head is patted. "Oh gee! Thanks, Satoru!" Thor pretty much inhales the chocolate bar, then begins happily munching on the burger.
