Biography
Amelia Susan Bones was adopted by a British family when she was a year old. As the youngest out of several siblings, the only girl of the group and also the youngest. You could definitely say that she had to fight for her place in the family. Sometimes literally. But despite that, Amelia would not have wanted anything else in her life. Her brothers would always be there whenever she needed them, but they would also annoy the hell out of her. Overprotectiveness, teasing her. She always had the feeling of having to prove herself to them. She looked up to her brothers and she wanted to make them proud. So that is what she fought for.
The girl already knew from a young age that it wasnāt going to be power or strength that was going to be her way to climb to the top. It was going to be her brain. Thinking logically and strategically. Her brain she was born with, the other two she was able to train. So that was how Amelia worked her way through her youth. She worked by setting goals for herself and reaching them, rewarding herself with small things like new quills or new parchment. Her brothers would call her a know-it-all and let her know that she needed to have some fun instead of working herself so hard.
When Amelia would go to Hogwarts, she already knew which house she would be sorted into. The Ravenclaw House was the only one possible for her. At least in her own opinion. And it was indeed the house she was sorted into. During her time at Hogwarts, she was definitely one of the top students, but calling her a know-it-all was not an option anymore. Growing up with her brothers gave Amelia a thick skin and she learned to say what she thought. If someone were to call her a know-it-all, they would learn it the hard way. She was not someone you wanted to mess around with. Fair, strict, honest but kind. That was how Amelia Bones was known at Hogwarts and how she would try to continue the rest of her life.
Amelia graduated Hogwarts with nearly only Outstanding, Exceeds Expectations and a single Acceptable. These grades were necessary for her to get an internship at the Ministry of Magic. The only goal she had had when she had started at Hogwarts. Working for the Ministry was the goal for the young woman, she wanted to be able to do something for others. When she started at the Ministry, the rise of Voldemort had only just started and she knew that she had made the right choice. She started out at the Administrative Registration Department as an administrative employee but she slowly worked herself up to become the Under-Secretary to the current head of Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She has been working here for the past year now. With the changes in the outside world, Amelia has turned her outspoken opinion into more of a watching role at the moment. She watches, she takes all information but she is careful what to do with it. There is not a chance that she will give anyone a reason to demote her.
Her family are supporters of the Order of the Phoenix. She knows her brothers are the same. But Amelia herself tries to stay away from picking a side. She does not believe in the rise of Voldemort, he is too dangerous. But by becoming a part of the Order, she would put a target on her back and thatās not an option to her. Especially after seeing what the Death Eaters have done to her parents a few years back. Murdering them without showing any mercy because they had said the wrong things.
So Amelia is careful and above all she just tries not to lose herself in the process; fair, strict and honest.
