This list is as much a resource for me as it is for all Peter Lorre fans! I'm reorganizing my physical media collection and curating all the PL films in particular, but I realized that my Internet Archive collection is incomplete. If you don't see a link to a particular film, it's because:
Titles in red mean that I DO NOT own either a physical or a high quality digital copy of this film.
Titles in blue mean that I DO own a physical or digital copy (sometimes not of the highest quality!) but I have not yet uploaded it out of plain forgetfulness.
I'll be working to upload as much as I can in the next few months. If you happen to have a link to a high-quality copy of any of the movies in red on this list, please let me know!
You may share this list widely, but remember some of these films are under an assumed name, hiding from the copyright gremlins. Shh. ;)

I'm not sure why I remembered this now. But many years ago I watched a documentary about the belief in alien abduction. It did not attempt to present these events as real or fake, and while I think the creators were fairly skeptical, they were just recounting the stories of people who believed it happened. I wish I could find that show again, but all I remember was this one woman who wrote down an entire body of lore surrounding her alien encounter. Her alien husband from Andromeda or whatever visited her many times over a decade or more, and they produced multiple alien hybrid children together, all of whom conveniently returned to the alien homeworld with their dad so naturally there was no possible way we could meet them, don't be silly. But she drew portraits of all these people, like a whole notebook of detailed pencil drawings of the aliens and their planet and cities that were actually really good, and she had intricate dreams about them and wrote down the things they said, and so on.
At the time I said to myself "hehe, how silly," but fast forward some 20 years and I'm suddenly sitting on a whole pile of fetish fiction I wrote after seeing the initial ideas in a dream, plus pencil drawings of several characters, and more recently, some half-finished alien porn, and I'm like uhhhhhhhh 👽 Maybe I have more in common with that lady than I thought.
Only difference is, I know none of it is real. Even if the dreams are surprisingly realistic at times, they're just dreams. Hot superpowered aliens are not visiting me in bed (too bad, right). Maybe deep down, that lady knew it too. But she looked so happy and excited to share her stories with a group who held similar beliefs and accepted her, and I think that was the actual important point. She found community with other people, which is something all of us need, wherever it is found.
[author's note: I have no idea if Viltrumites have a ketchup equivalent, but I kept the line anyway. Conquest is known for certain anachronisms and I thought it was funny :) ]
“Ugh, this is boring. When do we eat, anyway?”
Conquest halted in his tracks, glaring over one muscled shoulder with disdain. “What d’you think this is, boy, the Emperor’s flagship? This ain’t no pleasure cruise. It’s called survival training, and it’s why you’re here. You want something to eat, you catch it yourself.”
“Are you serious?”
In one smooth motion, almost too fast to see, Conquest pivoted about-face and delivered a sharp backhand to Quegg’s temple with a dull crack.
“Well,” Conquest declared to stunned silence. A spark of perverse joy flickered in his tiger eyes; a predator sighting prey. “It looks like someone’s volunteered to fetch our dinner tonight. Get out there, boy, and make a kill. And don’t think you can weasel your way out of it this time, or bribe someone else to do your dirty work. You’re doing this alone. Lucky for you, it’s a simple task. These woods are teeming with big game. I don’t really care which one you pick. Just don’t come back until you bring me its heart.”
Quegg rubbed his face, testing the flesh around his eye as it swelled to a fine bruise already. Torix watched him sidelong, gritting her teeth and mentally willing him not to open his big mouth again, but it seemed Quegg had at least one more foolish question in him:
“W-why do you want its heart, Instructor?”
“Why?” The old warrior chuckled softly. A slow, patient smile curled under his mustache until both rows of craggy teeth split his face in two. “Because it’s delicious, and good with ketchup.” His facetious grin fell just as abruptly as it came. “Why else, do you think?” he roared, spittle flying from his lips as he chased a panic-stricken Quegg into the trees. “Get to work!!”

I COME INCREDIBLY LATE But I would really love to hear your opinion on Disco Elysium once you finish it orrrr even if you want to while playing the game :D
I didn't get very far, but I remember being impressed with the amount of skill checks and choices available to the player! It's exactly the kind of thing I love in any roleplaying game. I don't know why I stopped playing it! I guess I was busy. I want to continue soon, just because I see so many memes and artworks about the game that I don't fully understand. I wanna be in on the joke for once. 😅

Another exciting (and tragic) Tale of Conquest™️!! Mostly tragic. Although reading it again, I realize Thragg has a "really? right in front of my emotional support skull?" moment that was meant to be serious but might come across as just a little bit funny. :P
A Lorre fan unearthed video footage claiming that Peter is WAVING from the ship as the UFA crew arrived in Portugal to shoot "Stupéfiants" (1932)! Gahh!!
First, if you haven't seen this post by @vintageerieteacup (or even if you have), open a tab with it. It's an amazing find of a 1932 article with pictures of Peter Lorre & Jean Murat coming with the crew to Lisbon for "Stupéfiants," which was the French-language version of "Die Weisse Damon." Peter starred in both.
Second, this clip is not mine and I did not add the arrow, but I did run it through a slight slo-mo so we can see him a little better. (Mind you, the year is wrong in the caption.)
Source of clip. Peter had shaved his head for the role, predating "Mad Love" by several years, so that's him all right, in the hat he wore at the time.
I'm hoping to see the full video this clip came from, even if that's the only time we see Peter.
@peterlorres21stcentury @noirgasmweetheart @soapkaars @snail-cupcakes, I can't wait until you see this too. Eeeee!
Like y'know when you're laying on someone's chest or stomach and you start hearing the flow of fluid through their heart and the churning of their stomach and the movement of their digestive tract and the muscles recruited when they swallow
It's so intimate, and so human. Reminds me that we're flesh and blood, and that flesh and blood is a marvelous thing to be
awww thank yooou! I do love these sounds and I write about them a lot! Probably more than I should, but I am obsessed with my loved ones' internal states. Like what could be more intimate than our own inner workings?
heh, and I was actually just reminded of a real-life memory of my embarrassing love life, when I confessed basically everything in these original posts to my then-boyfriend of several months. I believe my statement was, and I must stress this is a real series of words that came out of my mouth:
"I like thinking about internal organs... they work unconsciously and they're all the same in everyone." 🥰
But, but! To truly appreciate the full extent of my stupidity, you have to understand that I was also lying on top of him, softly patting his belly, when I felt the burning need to say all of that. 😭

It was a little joke and dumb idea. This is an old art and events before Invincible. Conquest is there only for the cig. Kregg having existencial crisis here definitely.
Why does Conquest look so much like first German chancellor Otto von Bismarck, who united the German states through blood and iron (war with Denmark, Austria and France)? Like I look at bro and see a history book 😭😭😭
I choked on my spit reading this-
Despite studying this all back in hs and knowing who he is, I can't remember a face to save myself so I had to google him bUT IT'S TRUEEEEE BAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
Ever since I noticed the resemblance I wanted to draw him in a Prussian officer's uniform and title the picture "Conquest von Bismarck" but I never got around to it. But I really wanna do it now.
Actually I'd also have to draw Emperor Argall, since he did unite the planet Viltrum with the goal of interstellar conquest. Art imitates life. :P

If Conrad Veidt had played Dracula, I wouldn't want him to be another Bela Lugosi. I imagine a completely different interpretation.
My Dracula is not a triumphant predator, but a lonely prisoner condemned to eternal hunger and endless cold. He is always freezing, yet neither fire nor blankets can warm him. The only warmth he can truly feel is the body heat of the living.
To him, fresh blood is not merely food. It is like a bowl of hot soup offered to someone lost in a blizzard. Every sip brings warmth back to a body trapped in an endless winter, if only for a little while.
