Postal worker here: we're all super excited for the NGDV. The current Postal vehicle, the LLV (and the FFV) is beloved, but it's impossible to ignore how old and cheap they are. In addition to not having air conditioning, the frames rot, the valve covers leak, and, oh yeah, they spontaneously combust. The LLV is approaching its 40th birthday. They were only built to last 24. They've tried supplementing them with consumer vehicles like the Dodge/Ram Promaster and the Dodge Caravan (which has now been replaced with the Mercedes Metris) but they still can't hold up to a purpose-built mail truck. As mentioned before the NGDV has tons of room (both in the cargo area and the cabin), air conditioning, high visibility, and honestly just looks cool. I'm a big fan and can't wait for our station to get the rollout
