I am standing firm on my wish to have not heard of 99% of new cast members for Season 2, but Roger Crowell? The fancasts I've seen (Victor Garber, Paul Gross, and Colm Feore especially) are pretty, pretty good. But, also, why not Make Mike Myers Evil? It'd be fun! (More seriously, though? Nicholas Lea or Callum Keith Rennie. There was, like, a 15-year period where it felt like every Canadian production had a contract clause saying CKR had to be in the cast.)

I think Jack Innaren would have been great as Troy! And fucken hell, all good thoughts and a strong stomach to the person who actually gets the role instead.

If the reports are true that he had to turn it down for production conflict-related reasons, it's probably because Big Mistakes got picked up for season 2. He could have been about to sign when that news was dropped, and then a 'lead' role was no longer possible. Maybe they'll have him in for a scene or two as someone else instead. We'll find out when we find out.

Edited to say that they've just bumped Elizabeth Perkins (his Big Troubles mom) to Series Regular, so his role might be bigger, too.
