i like the butchfemme community because it feels the most like home for lesbians with a weird gender. not just wlw but a real understanding of transness and gender nonconformity, and an awareness of social norms. i don’t feel the need to explain myself or my preferences in this community. i don’t have to explain that i am a lesbian who would date a trans man. i don’t have to explain that i am femme but also nonbinary, and prefer my partners to be under the trans umbrella too.
