I Dreamt of Something Lost is a fake desktop game about data, grief, and memory. It is about the Facebook profiles of dead friends, about parts of yourself still stuck in a particular social media profile like a fossil stuck beneath layers and layers and layers of sediment, about the fragility of digital storage, about what it feels like to have your world shrink to the breadth of a computer screen. I made it back in 2023, during a particularly difficult time in my life. I was convinced it wouldn't come to anything; instead, it won a New Media Writing Prize and more-or-less launched my career. Funny how things work out.
I'm trying to grow my writing to the point where it can financially support me - crazy difficult, I know, but I believe in my work and what it can do. I Dreamt of Something Lost is possibly the best thing I've ever made - it would mean the world if you could check it out on itch.io HERE.

THE CONCEPT
The goal of this project is to make a big, bright collaborative art piece between as many artists as possible!
A bunch of submitted Mikus of all sorts will be falling from the sky whilst a bigger miku watches and blows bubbles!
The pallet will be very bright so go crazy with your colours!
Below is my concept sketch but the layout is subject to change as I figure out how many submissions we get!

500x500 pixels
coloured/rendered
Your art might have some elements not visible in the final image due to overlap!
You can do whatever you want with your submission art I will not own it or anything
Miku Rules
Miku designs from songs, games, colabs, concerts, contests and original designs are all welcome!
Doubles of Miku designs are allowed!
Mikus of every colour, gender, race and size are canon and welcome! Feel free to show this in your submission if you'd like! (as long as the miku is still readable as the miku you're drawing, go crazy)

Any offensive/ insensitive/ gore designs of any sort will not be used.
I am allowed to refuse to include a Miku for any reason if I feel they have broken these rules in any way.
I will not be chasing you up if I decide to not include you for any of the above reasons.
i can finally appreciate the codec calls but it's not enough. i need a prolonged, in-depth look into how snake is processing what he's seeing in ssbb, especially in subspace emissary. clearly he and otacon both adapted to the crossover weirdness with their usual flexibility but surely there was a very awkward and frightening period of adjustment
