I do not like dsaf-confessions. I do not like ANY confessions account, period.
I have a personal vendetta against confession accounts right now, especially dsaf/dt-themed ones.
Call me a buzzkill, but the last dsaf confessions account (which was active on twt from 2023 til… April? March?) did not work well, at all. There were harmful, hurtful, rude, inconsiderate, and just flat-out mean confessions that were submitted on it. There were SOME nice or pleasant submissions, but… There’s undeniable evidence that the admin(s) for the account ignored a harmless/positive submission. The admin(s) did have the power to stop mean, controversial, stupid, and disrespectful confessions from being posted —
but did they use the power? No. No they did not.
Heck, even one of the unfavorable confessions (from the original account) were about me (and my friend)! And the mods just let it slip through!
And this is exactly what I’ve seen and been seeing from the new one.
If I didn’t have to scroll for tens of minutes to get to the earliest posts on the account, I’d have more screenshots, apologies.
The first one, the mod acknowledges that Henry isn’t straight, and had the ability to stop the “homophobic henry” submissions in the first place. How many homophobic submissions does it take to think “hey maybe i should stop posting these?”. The mod could have stopped it. But didn’t.
For the second one, the Anon is CLEARLY trying to get some sort of reaction;
“I believe in Henry × Martha, Peter × Caroline. I believe only in canon ships, not fanon ones. Davesport is toxic, their relationship is platonic, there's many reasons why they don't match one another and never will. Henry is straight, doggoman said on his post.”
No normal dsaf fan genuinely, honestly, wholeheartedly thinks like this. Even if one somehow does, guess what? The mod has the ability to stop it. But didn’t.
Again, there’s definitely more instances of this, like someone stating a clearly controversial opinion regarding dee (and how headcanoning her to have a sexuality is sexualizing her, or something along the lines) but I’m not scrolling through hundreds of posts of not-anonymous-anons ignoring the point of a confession account.
I would add more, but I’m tired as I was intending on spending my time drawing instead of writing this!
