cradling the em dash in my hands what the fuck have they done to you

been reading primo levi's if this is a man + the truce and i cannot say that i LIKED if this is a man because fundamentally it isn't a novel obviously it's a memoir. it's well-written but the point is that it wasn't written to be likable or not. the truce however is SO funny at times it's borderline hilarious. also not fiction but so wildly different from if this is a man both in style and voice. i preferred the periodic table because i am not very fond of memoirs or non-fiction in general but again i cannot say i am NOT liking the duology (technically there's a third installment but my edition only has the first 2 books) it's just. you're not really supposed to get any enjoyment of it.
