i. Lilli is awed by Dylan before they even work together, while Dylan is still with the FBI, and she doesn’t really bother to hide how much she looks up to him and the work he does, even if he doesn’t always go by the book. While Lilli knows it’s not a secret that has anything to do with her, she still enjoys the feeling that comes from sharing that with him.ii. They often call each other for the other’s opinion and thoughts on current cases they’re working separately, to bring a fresh perspective. These are repaid in favours of professional or personal types, as well as the fact Lilli insists on cooking one of her obnoxiously gourmet meals so they can properly catch up. iii. Right okay, stick with me, but I always had the sweetest image of either one of them calling the other once they’re back from a case, or just in general in the evening if it’s been a while since they’ve had a chat ( Lilli sometimes gets too detailed with her recounts of her cases because what is a filter and what is normal for other people, but Dylan nudges her and she stops being gross. ) and it just turns into the two of them eating dinner, getting ready to sleep etc. on the phone to each other? Sometimes Lilli will even fall asleep before the call’s been finished. iv. When it’s revealed that Dylan Rhodes is in fact Dylan Shrike, Lilli isn’t hurt by the fact that he wasn’t who he said he was, because really, he’s still the same person, and people lie because they have to in life, she knows and understands that. But she IS hurt when he doesn’t contact her at all after that. She will continue to attempt to get in touch with him from time to time, and follows the Horseman’s movements and their shows when they pop up ( sure, she doesn’t really believe in magic, but a good show is a good show! ).

i.   neal has always been accustomed with being the surprising partner in a relationship. the one that comes up with grandoise gestures that sweep the other off their feet, the one that sends spontaneous bouquets of flowers and an art piece to accompany it, the one that earns the look of astonishment at the sight of an extravagant breakfast.  not to say that he doesn’t do that for lilli. but,  he  finds more often that he’s surprised by her, swept utterly off his feet, left with a dazzled feeling; enchanted, if you will. coming home after an evening of being stuck in a van with peter’s odd sandwiches and the buzzing of radio static, neal wanted nothing more than to settle down for the evening. he would whip up something fast and easy, drink a couple glasses of wine and get ready for bed. opening the door to his place, the smells of a hearty meal await him, along with the woman who can’t seem to stop surprising him. as exhausted as he is, an easy smile stretches across his lips.    “  you’re amazing, lilliana greaves.  ”

           jake  &&  lilli  met  in  high  school  because  she  was  new  &  cute.   and  jake  wanted  to  know  who  she  was.   what  he  wasn’t  counting  on  was  the  immediate  sass  he  received  ;  from  there  they  were  pretty  much  inseparable.   everybody  thought  they’d  be  the  power  couple,  but  they  ruled  the  high  school  as  best  friends.   they  vetted  potential  dates,  went  to  senior  prom  together  because  why  go  with  anyone  else ?  jake  lost  his  virginity  to  lilli,  but  nothing  actually  changed  between  them  and  that  was  okay.   lilli’s  the  reason  jake  actually  made  it  through  high  school,  college,  and  into  the  academy  because  she  ( and lex )  pushed  him  so  hard.
