 bunnybarbs ,
        âWhy donât you volunteer sometime?â inquiry rolled gently off his tongue, arms folded in tandem as a smug expression soon embellished his countenance. It was a right of passage between the two siblings, who shared a massive age gap, to be ruthlessly vexing to one another, russet hues flicking from the door back to his baby sister as if making sure any unprompted guest was truly gone. âI think it would be a good change of pace, I know dad would be enamored at the thought, truly.â Hands slid up to rest upon his own heart, offering a mocking grin as if to bounce off from her jest at any gray hair. Inevitably, Marcel turned away, turning on a well needed cup of coffee if he were to get through the morning before heading off to work once more, the male never keen on giving up the antiquated machine for a dreaded Keurig. âScrambled eggs? I know thereâs some leftover rice and plantains if youâre really hungry,â while the language never much adhered to them, any cuisines did, his mother a fantastic cook in their youth; Marcel certainly carrying the gene over.Â
âEw. Volunteer? Do I look like United Way?â Another eye-roll flushed over her face, a look that wasnât unbeknownst to her elder brother. Her brotherâs remark about their dad left her silent for a few minutes, which was entirely a new look for her. After all, this was a new look for her. Hand glazed over to the bowl of fruit which so often laid vibrant and bright upon their table, a humble homage to when their mother would often cut them fruit back at home. Her eyes filled somewhat with guilt, her mouth slanting out of a brief sadness before her gaze returned back to him. She loved him, after all. She didnât think she loved much, but she definitely did love him. âNot that hungry, but thanks, Marcel. Actually... could I get those eggs? Please?â Her tone changing from snarky to genuinely kind was a monumental moment, but for a second, she genuinely valued him. Taking a banana, she shrugged off the thought that she was becoming inevitably soft. It would just be the long night of drinking and debauchery she just had, she thought. No point in beating a dead horse.

            He noticed something odd disrupted his creativity, scraping the stained paint that plastered against the surface of his arm as he stepped outside of his studio for some fresh air. Demand on his work happened to be low, and as much as scouting brand new customers proved to be much of a hassle, Robert felt inclined to continue the hunt. His objective goal came to a standstill at the wanderings of a curvaceous brunette, raising a brow as if to ponder upon whether she appeared at the right residence.   âSurely youâre looking for someone else?â  Since relocating to Devinstone, the Scot couldnât recall one defining moment of someone actually coming to his studio. He could hope this would be a misunderstanding, yet also hope for authentic interest in his craft for once. âI mean, the liquor store is down that way, and I know the beach isnât too far from here. I might be wrong, though â- correct me if I am. Can I get a name?â Robert posed, discouraging himself from making note of the obvious; his frequent, dishevelled appearance due to acrylic stains. @bunnybarbsâ
âCute.â Barbara murmured to herself, her word acting as less of a response to the man in front of her, but more of a subtle snark remark to herself. Liquor store and beaches. Not as though she was unfamiliar with either settings in any frame, but, the two locations being synonymous with her very being seemed somewhat hilarious at arms length. She contemplated simply walking out in that minute, but that seemed far too crude, even for her. âBarbara.â The brunette wouldnât indulge him with her all-too familiar pet-name or even surname. âLook, chill out, officer. Iâm genuinely just here to find out about this studio or whatever.â How blasĂŠ could Barbara truly act? She walked around the other in what was barely deemed clothing, eyeing up the stuff in his studio. âSo, is it always this empty?â She could barely conceal the smirk on her face, leaning back against one of the tables for support.Â

@bunnybarbsâ ,
        Marcel slipped down the stairs of his home, holding back any repugnant scowl as the random snippet of a stranger sidled through the back door, certainly never to be seen again. Inadvertently, once their father had gotten progressively more sick, Bunny had gauchely tumbled through the cracks of any familial support they once had to offer. Time dedicated to top of the notch care, round the clock doctors visits to make him comfortable and as a result, Marcel had to acquire the means to help her out. Sometimes, the reminder grated on him more than heâd like to admit â a vertiginous amalgam of guilt overcoming him. âWhoâ I ⌠nevermind,â extempore fell near wearily from his lips, shaking his head in tandem defeat, âI  donât wanna know. You hungry?â Â
A sigh escaped her lips as soon as the stranger left, the oak door slamming against its threshold as though to signify the end of her plea for the man to leave. No, she did not want to cuddle afterwards. That was a given at this point in her life. âDonât bother.â Bunny murmured, but it seemed as though he had already received the message. The honesty sat heavy on her arms, dragging her elbows against the marble finish in front of her as she rubbed her weary face. Oh, how she had compared herself so many times to the man across the kitchen island. No longer, though. Bunny had given up on childish retorts and pathetic attempts from her psyche to become the golden child her older brother moulded himself upon. âNot if youâre making toast. I donât eat carbs.â He knew that, though. She was never easy to live with, even when she was a baby. Filled the rooms with her sobs and dejection; which never ceased to change, even at the age of twenty-five. âHow was work? Is that grey hair?â Bunny smirked, leaning over the counter to dab at her older brotherâs locks. âIs the entire weight of the firefighting industry on your shoulders again?â

âDonât get me wrongââ the fire-haired girl started, looking at the person next to her, they didnât ask for this, but since when did a southern girl wait for someone else to start anything? âI love the weather here, itâs like, cool, and breezy, and who would hate this?â Her drawl leached out of every word, âbut oh my goodness, I ainât ever gonna get used to this tea, this ainât tea, this isââ She turned her nose up at it, âitâs justâ ew.âÂ
People cared about such trivial things. The fun in anything was absolutely drained by tedious conversation, laced with mundanities nobody Barbaraâs age should even begin to worry about. Bunnyâs phoned was propped up with her right hand, allowing herself to continuously examine her own vision in the front camera. As soon as the other girl started speaking, the brunette rolled her eyes and exhaled a soft sigh. She put the device down, turning to the other girl as though a clear enough sign she wasnât exactly here for a Tripadvisor review. âSo why donât you move? I mean, what makes good tea then?â Â
reaganoliveiraâ:
It was her day off, so technically, she wasnât obliged to do anything about it, really. Sitting by the bar in Kingâs Head, Reagan leaned against it slightly as the argument nearby turned heated. Security was bound to intervene soon, but as she watched, so did the one in charged with an amused expression on his features. âDrinks and a show, how about that?â She let out around a light laugh as the men tried to one up the other without a second thought to who was watching. âDid you catch what they started arguing about?â Reagan inquired, leaning closer to the person before her.Â
A drink during the day was never bound to be in-line with social convention, but the youngest Alvarez-Calleja had little remorse for convention. After all, if some invisible governing body were to discern her every move, she wouldâve been in a metaphorical societal prison long ago. Thus, the little brunette perched herself firmly in her booth, phone in hand, eyes caught by a stir that had occurred. Of course, like many her age, her first reaction was to exhale laughs to herself and prop up her phone to start recording. It wasnât until the other woman decided to speak that Barbara rolled her eyes and turned off the recording. âNo. Not my business, so Iâm staying uninvolved. I guess anything is entertaining here, though. Do you go to a lot of bars midday? Does this usually happen?â Of course, her tone towards the end wasnât erring on the side of curious, her lips turning into a smirk. Her own entertainment wouldnât go amiss.
