I miss when movies could stop you in your tracks with how great the first scenes are. I watched At Close Range last night and was astounded by how much I miss movies during this time.
Also the use of Live to Tell by Madonna added to its lure. Sean Penn and Christopher Walken were amazing as father and son.

So this is kind of gross but I think that interview was recorded the same day Fetterman met Netanyahu because he purposely wore a suit for that meeting.
This guy actually is from my neck of the woods in Pittsburgh, my bio dad worked Braddock, and I can’t believe what his stroke did to him.
Like there is NO way Pittsburgh would vote for him in his current iteration. He is so far from the progressive, homage tattoo getting John Fetterman when he was the mayor of Braddock it’s like watching his evil twin take over.

I guess living in a world where people want to pay to watch two bags of no purpose bags of flour watch TV is just something I have to get used to in 2026.
It’s sad that all he has to offer his fans is sitting on his ass doing nothing with Anson.
Regarding scary movies I have watch Skinamarink at least 4 times and nothing, I was bore out of my mind. I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe the movie lands different for latch key kids.
Regarding movies that don’t hit…. I’m in the minority of not liking The Babadook. I was bored. I know it was more about emotional trauma, but I was bored.
I love the Babadook as a character…I hated that freaking movie.
I’ve avoided Skinamarink because too many people I know didn’t like it so I can’t decide if I should bother.
skinamarink felt like it was trying to make me feel things I was already desensitized to by the age 10. To me this movie would hit harder for kids who had helicopter parents The anxiety it was trying to drum up I was over by the age of 10.
Every LKK knows that airy, exposed, on your own vibe that hovers until you start making your lunch and doing your laundry, and getting ready for your parents to come home.

I'm the youngest of 4 so for a while there was always someone else around or at least I knew someone else would be home before my parents but holy cow the number of times I used to jam a chair under the front and back door doorknobs and walk around the house holding a knife was...a lot. :)
I’m the youngest, so there was no one else at home by the time I was allowed to stay by myself. Both my siblings were out and about by that time. I lived in an apartment building, so I was less nervous about it.
I was an only child whose bio dad did shift work at a steel mill and my mother was a waitress and exotic dancer. So both my days and nights were somewhat surreal now that I think back, I will always be happy they enrolled me in afternoon kindergarten if not I don’t think I would have ever made it to school.
I honestly think these days are why I’m child free.

This is one of my favorite horror flicks. I’ve seen it maybe 3 times already.
It’s a new classic for me. Ethan Hawk was so good in those movie night scenes, and I swear Deputy So and So was such a great character!! RIP James Ransone.

I don’t think its weird at all Anson is there. It’s not like those two haven’t been trying to figure out something to do with each other to make money. And here it is a bad art work, a cheap as fuck pilot rewatch and nothing to do with growing or doing something new. Jared literally found the laziest way to make money with Anson.
Jared has been throwing this bad arms dealer bones for like the last few years. Bodyguard work and professional convention babysitter, so maybe Jared just wants to lower personal debts and would rather put him on creations pay roll instead.
I wasn’t alluding to it being weird. I’m finding it all interesting and funny (and a little desperate).
Giving Jared a sixhead sure was a choice on the artist’s part. It’s giving Jared as the Joker vibes. Or Jared sucked on a lemon and he captured Jared’s essence with the fruit.
Sorry my therapist has me doing a 100% honestly thing this week and I’m trying to stick to program. Maybe something should be left in my head.
Although any 10 fan artists in our fandom could have done a better job on that than Anson did so he could have reached out to them for this instead of filling an arms dealaers pockets with gan money.
