this has me wanting to chew on glass like. we don’t even know if what we’re seeing is actually who lestat is because we’re only seeing him through louis’ eyes and his current interpretation of lestat! like we have him on tape with a completely different portrayal and now he says it’s the nuanced one, but we still don’t know if he’s remembering or presenting everything correctly! it’s about the reconstruction of memory and reinterpreting your past to fit your present view!

I randomly remembered that I heard people say that in later books lestat raped (????) someone and now people are saying that it's ooc for him to fight louis the way he did ?????? like ???????? yes, lestat was traumatised when he was young but it doesn't mean he can't be an abuser himself ?????? and I heard about other fucked up shit he did in the books and he did fucked up shit in the show as well and yet somehow that fight was the worst one for you ???? yes, you can be triggered, yes, they probably should've used a tw, but pretending lestat is a good guy who suddenly gone bad ?????????
