i missed the first 10 minutes of the odyessey however i would argue that made it more enjoyable because
-i walked in penelope and her sons argument about if she should remarry. so to me the movie was from her and her sons perspective
-it was just so damn satisfying seeing these entitled annoying ass side charcters (odysseus and his men) getting so ruthlessly humbled every 15 minutes because of their own hubris
-like YES whack them AGAIN!!!
-this movie (without the 1st 10 minutes) is just a "nice guy" who is perpetually defeated by his own inaction, inadequacies and passivities to the crimes his men commit under his watch and he gets mercilessly humbled until he just outright admits hes a shit guy and then AND ONLY THEN can he put belt to ass and defeat the men in his castle that were not much different than the men he used to lead.
like yes, nolan gets whacked for the same old "man discovers intimacy lets clap" shtick but the humbling odysseus endures is so satisfying.
kinda new to the odyessy lmk if the book is any better
